Namira (means ''Immortal'', fa, نامیرا) is a novel in Persian language by Sadegh Karamyar. Its story is based on the Battle of Karbala. The book has been published by ''Neyestan Publications'' in Iran. Author Sadegh Karamyar is an Iranian writer and film director. He was born in 1959 in Tehran, Iran. Karamyar was in charge of the special magazine called ''"Information of the Front" ( fa, اطلاعات جبهه)'' in the Iran–Iraq War zones from 1986 to 1988, and from 1993 to 1996 he was in charge of the literary page ''"Sprouts of Thought" ( fa, جوانه‌های اندیشه)'' of the Ettela'at newspaper and also the deputy editor of the film magazine called ''"People and Cinema" ( fa, مردم و سینما)'' affiliated to the Farabi Cinema Foundation. Sadegh Karamyar
Sadegh Karamyar (Persian: صادق کرمیار, born 18 December 1959) is an Iranian writer, journalist, screenwriter, and film director. He is best known for his novels, particularly Namira (book), Namira (Immortal) and Ghanimat (The Spoils). He is the screenwriter and director of such TV series as Yek Rooz Ghabl (The Day Before) Biography Sadegh Karamyar was born and educated in Tehran, Iran. He studied Theology at Islamic Azad University and started to publish short stories in newspapers when he was around twenty years old. His first book ''Faryad dar Khakestar'' (Shouting in the Ash), a war stories collection, was published in 1990. In addition to writing short stories and novels, he has worked as a journalist and an editor of ''Ettela'at'' newspaper for twelve years.
