Najwan Darwish ( ar, نجوان درويش); born December 8, 1978, in Jerusalem, is a Palestinian poet. The New York Review of Books has described him as "one of the foremost Arabic-language poets of his generation". In 2014, NPR included his book ''Nothing More To Lose'' as one of the best books of the year. In 2009, Hay Festival Beirut pronounced him one of the 39 best Arab writers under the age of 40. Named asone of Arabic literature’s biggest new stars" Darwish's work has been translated into over 20 languages. Career Besides being a prominent poet, Darwish is a leading cultural editor in the Arab world. Najwan Halimi
Najwan Halimi (Jawi alphabet, Jawi: نجوان حليمي; born 8 May 1985) is a Malaysian politician currently serving as a member of the Selangor State Legislative Assembly for Kota Anggerik (state constituency), Kota Anggerik. He is also the current Shah Alam Parti Keadilan Rakyat deputy chief and was former chief of Selangor Parti Keadilan Rakyat Youth wing. Najwan is one of the defence witness called by the Malaysian High Court in Anwar Ibrahim's Anwar Ibrahim sodomy trials#2008 allegation, second sodomy trial. He is also the designer of the flag Sang Saka Malaya that became controversial during the 55th anniversary of Malaysia's independence in 2012. Najwan Ghrayib
Najwan Ghrayib ( ar, نجوان غريب, he, נג'ואן גרייב; born January 30, 1974) is an Arab-Israeli former footballer, and former manager of his hometown club - Maccabi Ahi Nazareth. Between 2009 and 2010, he was the assistant manager at Maccabi Ahi Nazareth to John Gregory, his former boss at Aston Villa. Club career Israel Ghrayib came up through the youth ranks at Maccabi Ahi Nazareth, and finally got his debut in 1992 at the age of 18 playing for them in the Liga Alef, the third tier of Israeli football. His consistently strong performances won him a move to Israeli Premier League side Maccabi Haifa in 1994, where he won the championship with them in his first season there.
