Naj Bogovi Slišijo
Slovenia was represented by Vili Resnik in the Eurovision Song Contest 1998 with the song "Naj bogovi slišijo". Before Eurovision EMA 1998 ''EMA 1998'' was the 4th edition of the Slovenian national final format '' Evrovizijska Melodija (EMA)''. The competition was used by RTV Slovenija to select Slovenia's entry for the Eurovision Song Contest 1998. Competing entries 43 entries were received by RTV Slovenija during a submission period. An expert committee consisting of Miša Molk, Andrej Karoli and Mojmir Sepe selected fourteen artists and songs for the competition from the received submissions. Final EMA 1998 took place on 28 February 1998 at the RTV Slovenija studios in Ljubljana, hosted by Mojca Mavec. A public vote selected "Naj bogovi slišijo" performed by Vili Resnik as the winner. Vili Resnik
Vili Resnik (born November 27, 1963) is a Slovenian rock singer and guitarist. Biography Since his youth he was active in various sorts of bands as a guitarist and singer. He also learned to play violin at school. From 1990 to 1995 he was the frontman of the Slovenian rock band Pop Design, with whom he released several albums. He was selected to represent his country at the Eurovision Song Contest 1998 in Birmingham with his ballad "Naj bogovi slišijo". At Eurovision, Resnik ended up in 18th place in the field of 25. Resnik also made an appearance in the Slovenian TV series ''Lepo je biti sosed''. Slovenia has participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 27 times since its debut in , having hosted a qualification round (Kvalifikacija za Millstreet) in Ljubljana for seven countries due to the influx of new nations wishing to join the Eurovision Song Contest. Miša Molk (born 6 September 1954) is a Slovenian journalist and television personality. Her professional career has always been tied to the television business and RTV Slovenija. Ljubljana

Karmen Stavec (born 21 December 1973) is a Slovene musician and pop singer. Early years Karmen was born in West Berlin, at that time part of West Germany, to Slovene parents. Milan Dekleva
Milan Dekleva (born 17 October 1946) is a Slovene poet, writer, playwright, composer and journalist. Dekleva was born in Ljubljana in 1946. He graduated in comparative literature from the University of Ljubljana and works as a journalist. He is best known for his poetry and has published over twenty peorty collections, a number of novels and collections of short stories. He was the first poet to publish haiku in Slovene (''Mushi mushi'', 1971). Many of his poems deal with the modern human condition in the absence of God. Darja Švajger (born 16 June 1965 in Maribor, SR Slovenia, SFR Yugoslavia) is one of Slovenia's most popular singers, perhaps best known internationally for having represented her country in the Eurovision Song Contest on two occasions. Aleksander Kogoj is a Slovenian film director, born 1965 in Ljubljana. His interest in film making began at an early age. As a teenager he wrote a good deal, and his passions were special effects. His skills as a musician meant he could combine sound and visuals, which led to his first experimental film, 'Keketz'. His first television show was called 'Music Boutique' (Glasbeni butik).
