''Nafsu'' is a Maldivian suspense thriller web series developed for Medianet Multi-Screen by Ali Shazleem. Produced by Mohamed Fuad under Island Pictures, the series stars Ahmed Saeed, Mariyam Shifa, Mariyam Shakeela, Ali Shazleem and Hamdhan Farooq in pivotal roles. The story follows a wealthy businessman and his young wife who takes a trip to a local island to escape from the hustle and bustle of the Male' city, and how the girl begins to unravel secrets about the guesthouse they stayed in while confronting long buried secrets regarding her past. Ali Shazleem
Ali Shazleem is a Maldivian film actor, director and producer. Career Shazleem made his film debut in the Aishath Fuad Thaufeeq-directed '' Hulhudhaan'' (2014) alongside Mariyam Majudha, which was a critical success. The film was later screened at the Venice Film Festival. Though ''Hulhudhaan'' was released earlier, Shazleem's first project was Maldivian first anthology film '' Hatharu Halha'' which got delayed till 2019. In 2015, Shazleem appeared in the Ali Shifau-directed romantic film '' Emme Fahu Vindha Jehendhen'' as a company fraud, alongside Mohamed Jumayyil and Mariyam Majudha. The film which, narrates the struggle and challenges a happily married couple undergo, was the highest grossing Maldivian film of the year, and was a critical success. Ahmed Saeed (actor)
Ahmed Saeed is a Maldivian film actor and director. Career 1997–2010: Debut and early releases On 13 June 1997, Saeed made his screen debut in a video single alongside Hassan Afeef and Mariyam Nisha. Afterwards, he played a role in Yoosuf Rafeeu's ''Dhiriulhumakee Mieebaa?''. He made his official film debut in Fathimath Nahula's debut direction '' Fahuneyvaa'' (1998), starring opposite Hussain Sobah, Jamsheedha Ahmed and Mariyam Nisha which portrays the love-conflict of a man between a prominent stage performer and a deaf-mute poor girl. Saeed played the role of Ahmed, a childhood friend of Ziyan who secretly marries two girls. The film was critically appreciated by critics and was a Hit commercially by screening twenty six housefull shows at cinema. Mariyam Shifa
Mariyam Shifa (22 November 1999) is a Maldivian film actress. Early life Shifa attributed her singing and dancing skills to her parents; her father being a prominent boduberu player and her mother being a singer, played a huge role in accomplishing her "dream of becoming an actor". Naming Aishath Rishmy, Nuzuhath Shuaib and Ali Seezan as her inspirations, Shifa grew up in a cinema-friendly environment. Career In 2018, at the age of seventeen, Shifa made her career debut with the suspense thriller film ''Dhevansoora'' (2018) written and directed by Yoosuf Shafeeu. Revolving around a murder investigation, she played an imaginary doctor counselling the character played by Shafeeu; a man suffering from dissociative identity disorder. Mariyam Shakeela (actress)
Mariyam Shakeela is a Maldivian film actress. Career 1992–2007: Early releases After completing her education in MCS and EPS, Shakeela married to comedian Yoosuf Rafeeu who was then a producer and news presenter at Television Maldives. A week after their marriage, Rafeeu requested her to feature in a film for a replacement of an actor who opted out of the film due to personal reasons. At the age of fifteen, she made her screen debut with the film ''Dhon Sanpa'', whose performance was well noted by critics and audiences. Hamdhan Farooq
Hamdhan Farooq (born 3 June 1983) is a Maldivian film actor. Early life Farooq was born on 3 June 1983 in Ga. Dhaandhoo. His parents, Ali Farooq and Mariyam Haleem are actors working in the film industry since 1997. He is the brother of actor Ravee Farooq and Hamdhoon Farooq. He credits his parents and brothers to be his inspiration to pursue a career in the film industry. Nashidha Mohamed
Nashidha Mohamed is a Maldivian actress. Career Mohamed was first noticed by the owner of the production studio Corona Arts while he was attending an event held in Kulhudhuffushi, where she was performing onstage. Impressed with her appearance and dancing skills, he offered her to star in a video alongside Ahmed Asim. Aminath Suha Musthafa (born 7 May 1997), commonly known as Aminath Shuha is a Maldivian film actress and former TV presenter. Career Prior to acting, Shuha worked as a show presenter and host in several television programs from Ice TV. For her presentation in of the shows ''Loabin'' (2017), she was attracted to negative reception from the audience, due to her flirtatious behavior which she attributed as "required as per the concept of the show". Kinbidhoo (Thaa Atoll)
Kinbidhoo (Dhivehi: ކިނބިދޫ) is one of the inhabited islands of Thaa Atoll. In the order of the inhabited islands, Kinbidhoo is the 12th island and the island code is N-12.
