Nadeem Karim
Nadim Karim Mohaisen Al-Magsoosi commonly known as Nadim Karim ( ar, نديم كريم المحيسن المقصوصي; born 1 January 1989) is an Iraqi footballer who plays for Al-Minaa in the Iraqi Premier League. Info A midfielder that blossomed at Al-Naft during the Iraq Super League 2007-08 season after his move from Al-Sinaa. He was signed on the absence of Mohammed Al-Sheikhli, one of his former coaches at Al-Sinaa. The midfielder grabbed his first team opportunities at Al-Naft with both hands and managed to break into the Iraq U-20 team under Kadhim Al-Rubaie. On 18 September 2013, he signed a contract with Saham SC of Omantel Professional League but just after games the club management decided to terminate his contract. 2008–09 Iraqi Premier League
The 2008–09 Iraqi Premier League was the 35th edition of the competition. It started on 1 November 2008 and ended on 16 July 2009. 27 teams from all over the country competed for the title. Erbil won the title by defeating Al-Najaf in the final via penalty shootout after a goalless draw. It was Erbil's third league title in a row. The two teams would have qualified for the 2010 AFC Cup, but were disqualified due to FIFA's suspension of the Iraq Football Association. The 2008–09 season is the only season in history where none of the four Baghdad Derby clubs (Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya, Al-Shorta, Al-Talaba and Al-Zawraa) finished in the top four. 2007–08 Iraqi Premier League
The 2007–08 Iraqi Premier League season started on 26 November 2007 and ended on 24 August 2008. The season saw Erbil crowned as champions for the second time in a row, beating Al-Zawraa 1–0 after extra time in the final. For security reasons, the league was divided into three groups: South, North and Central. The top six clubs from the Central Group and the top four clubs from the North and South Groups qualified for the Elite Stage. The Elite Stage consisted of three groups, of which the winners and one runner-up qualified for the Golden Stage, a knockout contest. The Golden Stage matches were held at Al-Shaab Stadium in Baghdad. The champions and runners-up qualified for the 2009 AFC Cup, while third-placed Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya qualified for the 2008–09 Arab Champions League. Al-Suwaiq Club ( ar, نادي السويق) is an Omani sports club based in Al-Suwaiq. The club is currently playing in the Oman Professional League, top division of Oman Football Association.
