Nabisco (, abbreviated from the earlier name National Biscuit Company) is an American manufacturer of cookies and snacks headquartered in East Hanover, New Jersey. The company is a subsidiary of Illinois-based Mondelēz International. Nabisco's plant in Chicago is the largest bakery in the world, employing more than 1,200 workers and producing around 320 million pounds of snack foods annually. Fig Newtons
Newtons are a Nabisco-trademarked version of a pastry filled with sweet fruit paste. "Fig Newtons" are the most popular variety ( fig rolls filled with fig paste). They are produced by an extrusion process. Their distinctive shape is a characteristic that has been adopted by competitors, including generic fig bars sold in many markets. The product was invented by Charles Roser and baked at the F. A. Kennedy Steam Bakery for the first time in 1891. East Hanover Township is a township in Morris County, New Jersey, United States. Zu Zu Ginger Snaps
Zu Zu Ginger Snaps was a brand of round drop cookies originally manufactured in 1901 by the National Biscuit Company (NBC) –later changed to Nabisco– and produced until the early 1980s. The snaps are "a spicy combination of ginger and sugar-cane molasses" and came in a distinctive yellow box with reddish type. In popular culture The mascot was the "Zu Zu Clown". The Clown became central to an advertising campaign which included ads, signs, free clown costumes for children and two sizes of clown dolls. The product is also available in Australia through wholesaler USA Foods. Teddy Grahams
Teddy Grahams are bear-shaped graham cookie snacks created by Nabisco. Introduced in 1988, Teddy Grahams come in two distinct shapes: bears with arms up and legs closed, and bears with legs open and arms down. When first introduced, Teddy Grahams were available in honey, cinnamon, and chocolate flavors. Since then, they have added chocolatey chip as one of the 4 main varieties. They also had vanilla, banana, birthday cake, mixed berry, strawberry banana, and apple flavors but they have been discontinued. Nabisco has also put out various other products under the Teddy Grahams brand, including various Disney character shaped grahams.
