The 25th congressional district of New York is a congressional district for the United States House of Representatives. It is currently represented by Democrat Joseph Morelle. The district is now located within Monroe County, New York, Monroe County and part of Orleans County, New York, Orleans County, centered on the city of Rochester, New York, Rochester. Since 2013, the 25th district has been located entirely within Monroe County, and includes the City of Rochester and surrounding suburbs. In the 2018 race, the seat was vacant. State Assembly Member Joseph Morelle (Democrat) faced James Maxwell (Republican, Conservative, Reform), in the general election, which Morelle won handily. Monroe County, New York
Monroe County is a county in the Finger Lakes region of the State of New York. The county is along Lake Ontario's southern shore. At the 2020 census, Monroe County's population was 759,443, an increase since the 2010 census. Its county seat and largest city is the city of Rochester. The county is named after James Monroe, the fifth president of the United States. Monroe County is part of the Rochester, NY Metropolitan Statistical Area. New York State Route 25
New York State Route 25 (NY 25) is an east–west state highway in downstate New York in the United States. The route extends for just over from east midtown Manhattan in New York City to the Cross Sound Ferry terminal at Orient Point on the end of Long Island's North Fork. NY 25 is carried from Manhattan to Queens by way of the double-decked Queensboro Bridge over the East River. NY 25 is unique among New York State Routes on Long Island, as it is the only one to leave the geographical boundaries of Long Island, albeit minimally; it ends at the western terminus of the Queensboro Bridge. New York's 24th Congressional District
The 24th congressional district of New York is located in Upstate New York, stretching alongside Lake Ontario from near Buffalo in the west to Watertown in the east, whilst not including Rochester which is instead in the 25th district. Since 2023, it has been represented by Claudia Tenney, and in the 2022 election it was the most Republican district in the state. New York's 23rd Congressional District
The 23rd congressional district of New York is located in Upstate, and covers much of the Southern Tier. It extends along New York's border with Pennsylvania from the shores of Lake Erie in Chautauqua County to the suburbs of Binghamton in Tioga County. The district includes three of the eleven Finger Lakes: Keuka Lake, Seneca Lake, and Cayuga Lake. The district comprises nine counties in full: Allegany, Cattaraugus, Chautauqua, Chemung, Schuyler, Seneca, Steuben, Tompkins, and Yates Counties, along with parts of Ontario and Tioga Counties. New York's 32nd Congressional District
The 32nd congressional district of New York was a congressional district for the United States House of Representatives in New York. It was eliminated as a result of the 1990 Census. It was last represented by John J. LaFalce who was redistricted into the 29th District. Past components New York's 32nd Congressional District was first formed in 1832. The district was abolished in 1862. It was reestablished in 1872 and then consisted of Chautauqua County, New York and Cattaraugus County, New York. In 1874, the congressional districts of New York were redrawn and the 32nd district was moved to Erie County, the location of Buffalo, New York. New York's 19th Congressional District
New York's 19th congressional district is located in New York's Catskills and mid-Hudson Valley regions. It lies partially in the northernmost region of the New York metropolitan area and mostly south of Albany. This district is currently represented by Democrat Pat Ryan. Hudson Valley
The Hudson Valley (also known as the Hudson River Valley) comprises the valley of the Hudson River and its adjacent communities in the U.S. state of New York. The region stretches from the Capital District including Albany and Troy south to Yonkers in Westchester County, bordering New York City. New York's 17th congressional district is a congressional district for the United States House of Representatives located in Southern New York. It includes all of Rockland County and portions of central and northwestern Westchester County, including the village of Port Chester, the city of White Plains, and the Tappan Zee Bridge. It is represented by Democrat Mondaire Jones. Jones was first elected in 2020 to succeed the retiring Representative Nita Lowey.
