NXT Heatwave (2024)
The 2024 NXT Heatwave was a professional wrestling event produced by the American company WWE. This was the third annual Heatwave produced by the company for its developmental brand NXT, and 10th Heatwave overall. It took place on Sunday, July 7, 2024, at the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Ontario, Canada as part of Money in the Bank weekend. Unlike the prior two years, which were held as television specials, the 2024 event aired via WWE's livestreaming platforms, marking NXT's first livestreaming event to be held in Canada since NXT TakeOver: Toronto in 2019. Six matches were contested at the event, including one on the Countdown to Heatwave pre-show. In the main event, Ethan Page defeated previous champion Trick Williams, Je'Von Evans, and Shawn Spears in a fatal four-way match to win the NXT Championship by pinning Evans. Valerie Loureda (born July 19, 1998) is an American professional wrestler and mixed martial artist currently signed to WWE, where she performs on the NXT brand under the ring name Lola Vice. As a mixed martial artist, she competed in the women's flyweight division of Bellator MMA. Early life Valerie Loureda was born in Miami, Florida on July 19, 1998. She is of Cuban descent. Professional wrestling is a form of theater that revolves around staged wrestling matches. Calyx Harmony Hampton (born August 26, 1999) is an American professional wrestler currently signed to WWE, where she performs on the NXT brand under the ring name Sol Ruca. Lea Mitchell (born October 22, 1998) is an American professional wrestler and former artistic gymnast. The NXT Women's Championship is a women's professional wrestling championship created and promoted by the American promotion WWE. It is defended on the NXT brand division, the promotion's developmental territory. Introduced on April 5, 2013, the inaugural champion was Paige. The current champion is Roxanne Perez, who is in her first reign. At the time the title was established, NXT was a developmental territory for WWE.
