NTV Uganda
NTV Uganda is a Ugandan television station under the Nation Media Group, NMG, operating in East Africa. It has been on air since 2006. It is one of the companies owned by Aga Khan IV. During the Arua elections, NTV Uganda reporter Herbert Zziwa and cameraman Ronald Muwanga were arrested for allegedly inciting violence. It was also banned from covering aerial footage of National Resistance Movement rallies in the 2016 general elections. In 2020 the media house reached one million followers on Twitter. Josephine Karungi, is a Ugandan journalist and television personality who works as a media and communications consultant at the World Bank Uganda, based at their offices in Kampala, Uganda's capital city. Before that, from 1 October 2018 until 30 March 2021, she served as Head of News, at NTV Uganda, in acting capacity. In that role, she reported directly to the general manager, Editorial, Daniel Kalinaki. Karungi was born in Uganda. She attended Nakasero Primary School, in Kampala. Comedy Store Uganda (sometimes just Comedy Store or Comedy Store Ug), is a weekly live stand-up comedy show that was created in 2016 by comedian Alex Muhangi, who is also the host since the show’s inception.
