NRJ (Belgium)
NRJ Belgique is a private Belgian radio station broadcasting in Wallonia and Brussels, and is the Belgian version of the popular French radio station NRJ. A Flemish NRJ was launched on 3 September 2018. Airing in Dutch, it is owned by SBS Belgium and Mediahuis, which propose programming independently from the NRJ Group (unlike its French-language counterpart). History On 24 June 1994 the Belgian version of NRJ was created by the NRJ Group. NRJ Hits TV NRJ Hits TV is Belgium's first and only television channel broadcasting non-stop video clips from French, Belgian and international artists 24/7. It was launched in 2014 as an internet channel, but went on cable/satellite on 29 March 2016. The promise is "Hit Music Only". In fact, on the plan, Marco Leulier, the channel's program director, found that it was not necessary to broadcast all day, every day music videos only. The NRJ Group (NRJ is an acronym read as ''énergie'' in French, pronounced ) () is a French multimedia group based in Paris. Its founders are Jean-Paul Baudecroux and Max Guazzini. Nostalgie Wallonie is a private Belgium, Belgian radio station broadcasting in Wallonia and Brussels, and is dedicated to mainly French and American music of the 1960s, 1970s, 1980s and 1990s. Nostalgie Wallonia was created in Namur, Belgium, Namur by the group Les Éditions de l'Avenir. It is owned by the NRJ Group and Corelio (previously Médiabel, Médiabel SA). Mediahuis is a newspaper & magazine publishing, distribution, printing, TV, radio and online media company founded in 2014 with assets in Belgium, the Netherlands, Ireland, Luxembourg and Germany. Chérie FM
Chérie FM is a French radio station created in 1987 and belongs to the NRJ Group. History Chérie FM is created in 1987 in Paris by Jean-Paul Baudecroux on the then defunct frequency of Gilda la Radiopolitaine. Chérie FM then started broadcasting nationally in 1989 when the NRJ Group acquires the frequencies of Pacific FM. Most frequencies of the station were affiliated to Chérie FM (but the Parisian frequency of Pacific FM was used to create Rire & Chansons).
