NK Svoboda (other)
Nogometni klub Svoboda Ljubljana ( en, Svoboda Ljubljana Football Club), commonly referred to as NK Svoboda Ljubljana or simply Svoboda, is a Slovenian football club from Ljubljana which plays in the Slovenian Third League. History The club was formed as ŠD Svoboda in 1952 and was known as one of the best Slovenian clubs during the time of SFR Yugoslavia. It started in lower rangs, but then merged with Grafičar, took its place in Slovenian League and played under that name until 1962. The most successful years came in the seventies, when the club was playing in Yugoslav Second Division under the sponsorship of Mercator, national food market company. In 1971 they have won the Slovenian Republic League for the first time and earned a promotion to the Yugoslav Second Division West, where they played until 1982, with the exception of three triumphal republic seasons. The Football Association of Slovenia ( sl, Nogometna zveza Slovenije or NZS) is the governing body of football in Slovenia. It organizes the Slovenian PrvaLiga, first division (1. Suad Beširević
Suad Beširević (4 March 1963 – 28 September 2019) was a Slovene football manager and a professional football player. Playing career Club He was regarded as one of the best players of FK Borac Banja Luka, where he spent most of his career and where he won the 1987–88 Yugoslav Cup. He also won the 1990–91 Cypriot First Division and the 1991–92 Cypriot Cup with Apollon Limassol FC. He was the joint top goalscorer of the 1990–91 Cypriot First Division season alongside Panikos Xiourouppas, with 19 scored goals in 25 played games. Managerial career As a manager Beširević won the Slovenian Cup in the 2002–03 season with NK Olimpija Ljubljana, whose manager he was from January 2003 to the summer of 2004. He also won the Slovenian Third League (West Group) with NK Šenčur in the 2008–09 season. 1991–92 Slovenian Football Cup
The 1991–92 Slovenian Football Cup was the first season of the Slovenian Football Cup, Slovenia's football knockout competition, and the last that was played by the old rules from SR Slovenia. All Slovenian clubs competed in their regional MNZ Cups, with eight winners securing their place in the quarter-finals of the Slovenian Cup. The 1991–92 Slovenian PrvaLiga was the first season of Slovenian top division football. The season started on 18 August 1991 and ended on 21 June 1992 with each team playing a total of 40 matches. The Slovenian Regional Leagues ( sl, Slovenske regionalne lige) are the fourth tier leagues in the Slovenian football system. They are alternately operated by the participating clubs' Intercommunal Football Associations ( sl, Medobčinske nogometne zveze – MNZ). The winners are promoted to the Slovenian Third League. Slovenian Republic Football League
The Slovenian Republic Football League ( sl, Slovenska republiška nogometna liga) was the highest football league in Slovenia within the Yugoslav football system. During the time of the Kingdom of Yugoslavia it was known as the Ljubljana Subassociation League ( sl, Prvenstvo Ljubljanske nogometne podzveze) and was one of the qualifying tournaments for the Yugoslav Championship. During the time of Yugoslavia, it was a third level league for most of the time, but became a fourth level in 1988. Before that, the winner was promoted to the Yugoslav Second League, and after that it was promoted to the Yugoslav Inter-Republic League.
