NK SAŠK Napredak
NK SAŠK Napredak is a football club from Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. It came into existence in 2000 through the merger of SAŠK with NK Napredak. SAŠK SAŠK's history traces back to 1910 when it was founded as Hrvatski ŠK.Fudbal u Kraljevini Jugoslaviji, by Milorad Sijić, pag. 168 In 1919 it was renamed to Sarajevski amaterski športski klub (''Sarajevo Amateur Sports Club'') or SAŠK. Along with FK Slavija, it is the club from Bosnia with most participations in the Yugoslav First League in the period before the star of Second World War. Its coaches in this period were Gal, Bevanda, Giljaković, Kražić, Ferigec, Koželuh and Ivan Kezić. After World War II ended, SAŠK was banned by the authorities of Communist Yugoslavia because of its participation in the Croatian First League during the war in what was then Axis-allied Croatia. The Second League of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina () is a football league in Bosnia and Herzegovina. This level is organized into four different leagues: Sjever (North), Centar (Center), Jug (South) and Zapad (West). (Until the 2011–12 season there was two West leagues.) The Independent State of Croatia (, NDH) was a World War II–era puppet state of Nazi Germany and Fascist Italy (1922–1943), Fascist Italy. HKD Napredak (, meaning "Croat Cultural Society 'Progress'") is a cultural society of Croats of Bosnia and Herzegovina. History The "Croatian aid society for the needs of students in middle and higher schools from Bosnia and Herzegovina" () was founded on the initiative of in Mostar on 14 September 1902, with the aim of assisting Croatian Catholic students. Already that year it had accumulated 376 members, including its first sponsor Josip Juraj Strossmayer, who was later joined by Graf Rudolf Normann-Ehrenfels of Valpovo. By 1903, membership had risen to 916, including 143 in Zagreb, 11 in Jastrebarsko and 10 in Samobor.
