NFL Teacher of the Year is an award given by the National Football League. When the award began in 1990, it was to award a teacher who "had the single greatest impact on player'seducational and life-skills development" but starting in 2010 it has been awarded to former players who have gone on to succeed as teachers themselves. Miriam Williams
Miriam ( he, מִרְיָם ''Mīryām'', lit. 'Rebellion') is described in the Hebrew Bible as the daughter of Amram and Jochebed, and the older sister of Moses and Aaron. She was a prophetess and first appears in the Book of Exodus. The Torah refers to her as "Miriam the Prophetess" and the Talmud names her as one of the seven major female prophets of Israel. Burt Grossman
Burt L. Grossman (born April 10, 1967) is a former American football defensive end in the National Football League (NFL). Before becoming a professional, Grossman played college football at the University of Pittsburgh where he was a three time All-ECAC selection. In 1989, he was drafted by the San Diego Chargers. Grossman played six seasons in the NFL: five for the San Diego Chargers (1989–1993) and one for the Philadelphia Eagles (1994). As an NFL player, Grossman's accomplishments include 45 quarterback sacks and three safeties. Grossman appeared on the October 15, 1990, edition cover of ''Sports Illustrated'' under the title "Big Mouth," which chronicled his outspoken and outlandish personality. Brent McClanahan (born September 21, 1952 in Bakersfield, California) is a former professional American football player who played running back for seven seasons for the Minnesota Vikings. He is now a teacher at South High School in Bakersfield, CA. Career Brent McClanahan played for the Minnesota Vikings, until his retirement. His contract was cut short because of injuries. Frank McNulty Beede III (born March 1, 1973) is a former professional American football player who played offensive lineman in the National Football League (NFL) for five seasons for the Seattle Seahawks and seven years in the Arena Football League (AFL) for the San Jose Sabercats.
