NBB-Beker
The Basketball Cup, formerly the NBB Cup ( nl, NBB-Beker), is an annual cup competition for Netherlands, Dutch basketball teams organised by the Basketball Nederland. Every team in the Netherlands can participate by signing up for the preliminary rounds. Professional basketball teams from the Dutch Basketball League (DBL) enter the tournament in the fourth round. From 1977 until 1990 professional teams were not allowed to participate in the competition. The tournament is organized in a knock-out format, with quarter- and semi-finals being two-legged series while the final is played in a single game. Heroes Den Bosch and Donar (basketball club), Donar are the two clubs with the most cup titles, as both have a total of 7 titles. During the 2020–21 season, the tournament was not played and was replaced by the 2021 DBL Cup, DBL Cup, featuring only the twelve DBL teams. Blue Stars (basketball Club)
Blue Stars is a Dutch basketball club based in Diemen, North Holland. The club played in the top tier Eredivisie during the 60s, 70s and 80s. History Blue Stars Basketball was founded in 1947 by Jan Janbroers and is one of the oldest basketball clubs in the Netherlands. The men's team was in 1960 one of the founders of the Premier League and has won several national titles and national cups. Between 1970 and 1973, Blue Stars sponsored by Fiat and they were called temporarily "Fiat Stars". Hereafter called the team between 1973 and 1976 "Gerard Long Blue Stars". Zandvoortse Basketballvereniging The Lions, or simply The Lions, is a Dutch amateur basketball club based in Zandvoort. History The Lions was active as a professional team from the late 1960s until the middle 1970s in the Dutch first division, the Dutch Basketball League. The 1975–76 FIBA European Champions Cup was the 19th edition of the European top-tier level professional basketball club competition FIBA European Champions Cup (now called EuroLeague). The Final was held at the Patinoire des Vernets, in Geneva, Switzerland, on April 1, 1976. In a third consecutive final for these two teams, Mobilgirgi Varese defeated Real Madrid, by a result of 81–74. Competition system 23 teams.
