NAF (formerly known as National Academy Foundation) is an industry-sponsored nonprofit with a national network of public-private partnerships that support career academies within traditional high schools. Naf River
The Naf River ( bn, নাফ নদী ''Naf Nodi'' ; my, နတ်မြစ် ; rki, ) is an international river marking the border of southeastern Bangladesh and northwestern Myanmar. North Anatolian Fault
The North Anatolian Fault (NAF) ( tr, Kuzey Anadolu Fay Hattı) is an active right-lateral strike-slip fault in northern Anatolia, and is the transform boundary between the Eurasian Plate and the Anatolian Plate. The fault extends westward from a junction with the East Anatolian Fault at the Karliova Triple Junction in eastern Turkey, across northern Turkey and into the Aegean Sea for a length of 1500 kilometers. It runs about 20 km south of Istanbul. The North Anatolian Fault is similar in many ways to the San Andreas Fault in California. Both are continental transforms with similar lengths and slip rates. The Native American flute is a flute that is held in front of the player, has open finger holes, and has two chambers: one for collecting the breath of the player and a second chamber which creates sound. The player breathes into one end of the flute without the need for an embouchure. A ''block'' on the outside of the instrument directs the player's breath from the first chamber—called the slow air chamber—into the second chamber—called the sound chamber. The design of a ''sound hole'' at the proximal end of the sound chamber causes air from the player's breath to vibrate. National Academy Foundation School
National Academy Foundation School is a public secondary school located in Baltimore, Maryland, United States. It is based on the National Academy Foundation educational design to have "small learning communities." The school was launched in 2002 and was housed in the Port Discovery building in Downtown Baltimore. In 2004 it was moved to the first floor of Digital Harbor High School. In 2009 it moved to Dunbar Middle School to form a campus with Paul Laurence Dunbar High School. The National Academy Foundation has five different academies that students may choose to pursue, starting in their 10th grade year: Academy of Finance, Academy of Hospitality and Tourism, Academy of Information Technology, Academy of Engineering and Academy of Law. The non-adjacent form (NAF) of a number is a unique signed-digit representation, in which non-zero values cannot be adjacent. Negation as failure (NAF, for short) is a non-monotonic inference rule in logic programming, used to derive \mathrm~p (i.e. that ~p is assumed not to hold) from failure to derive ~p. Note that \mathrm ~p can be different from the statement \neg p of the logical negation of ~p, depending on the completeness of the inference algorithm and thus also on the formal logic system. The Donetsk People's Militia and Luhansk People's Militia (formerly also called Russian separatist forces in Donbas) are pro-Russian paramilitaries in the Donbas region of eastern Ukraine, which have been fighting the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Russo-Ukrainian War. During the Donbas War (2014–2022), they were affiliated with the self-declared Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) and Luhansk People's Republic (LPR). They supported the Russian military during the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine.
