N-152 Road (Spain)
The N-152 is a Spanish national road in Catalonia, Spain, which originally linked Barcelona with the French border at Puigcerda/Bourg-Madame, in the eastern Pyrenees. The Barcelona-Ripoll section was recently transferred to the Generalitat de Catalunya (government of Catalonia), and therefore its name changed to C-17. The Ripoll-Puigcerdà section (still named N-152) passes through La Molina and Ribes de Freser Ribes de Freser () is a municipality in the ''comarca'' of the Ripollès in Girona, Catalonia. The Carreteras Nacionales de España or ''National Roads of Spain'' are roads of governmental property, managed by the Ministry of Development (Spain) and form the ''Red de Carreteras del Estado'' or ''State Roads Network''. Bourg-Madame
Bourg-Madame (; ca, La Guingueta d'Ix) is a commune in the Pyrénées-Orientales department in southern France. Geography Localisation Bourg-Madame is located in the canton of Les Pyrénées catalanes and in the arrondissement of Prades. It lies right on the border with Spain. It abuts directly onto the Spanish town of Puigcerdà, and is near the Spanish exclave of Llívia. Toponymy The town used to be known in French as ''Les Guinguettes'', until 1815 when it was renamed Bourg-Madame in honour of the wife of the Duke of Angoulême. Ripoll
Ripoll () is the capital of the ''comarca'' of Ripollès, in the province of Girona, Catalonia, Spain. It is located on confluence of the Ter River and its tributary Freser, next to the Pyrenees near the French border. The population was 11,057 in 2009. The first traces of humans inhabiting the area date from the Bronze Age and can be seen in form of dolmens such as those found in ''El Sot de Dones Mortes'' or in ''Pardinella''. This area was later used by peoples from the Atlantic culture to store bronze weapons and as a passway from the Catalan Central Depression to the Pyrenees. The area also has tombs from the late Roman occupation age and some belonging to the Visigoths. C-17 or Eix del Congost is a primary highway in Catalonia, Spain. According to the 2004's new coding for primary highways managed by the Generalitat de Catalunya, the first number (C-17) indicates that is a south-northbound highway, whereas the second number (C-17) indicates that is the seventh westernmost. The highway starts at the city of Barcelona and heads mainly northbound towards the towns of Mollet del Vallès, Granollers, Vic and Ripoll. Its path follows the valleys of Congost and upper Ter rivers. From Mollet del Vallès to Vic, the road is already upgraded to freeway. La Molina (ski Resort)
La Molina is a ski resort in the Pyrenees mountains of northeastern Spain, in the municipality of Alp in the ''comarca'' of Cerdanya in Girona, Catalonia. Together with Masella, it forms the Alp 2500 resort. It is the site of the first ski lift in Spain, opened on 28 February 1943, and Spain's first ski school, which opened a year later. It is served by a RENFE / Rodalies train station. Sport and recreation The area hosted World Cup alpine races in December 2008 (women's technical events) and hosted the Snowboarding World Championships in January 2011.
