N. Mahalingam
Nachimuthu Mahalingam (April 9, 1923 – October 2, 2014) was an Indian educationist, industrialist, philanthropist and prominent person in Tamil Nadu. He was the Chairman of the Sakthi Group and Chairman of Ethiraj College for Women between 1972 and 1980. Early life and education Mahalingam was born in Somanthurai Chittoor, Pollachi, in the family of Nachimuthu Palani Gounder and Rukmani. Nachimuthu Gounder was a business man, who founded ABT - "The Anamallais Bus Transport Limited", a passenger transport company on 28.8.1931 at Pollachi, in Tamilnadu. The company had grown with 150 buses in 110 routes around Coimbatore region which laid the foundation for Sakthi group. Mahalingam was married to his cousin, Mariyammal in the year 1945. The couple had 3 sons- Manickam, Balasubramaniam, Srinivaasan and 1 daughter - Karunambal Vanavarayar. He had his school education at Pollachi. Pollachi is a town and a taluk headquarters in Coimbatore district, Tamil Nadu state, India. Located about to the south of Coimbatore, it is the second largest town in the district after Coimbatore. Ramalinga Swamigal
Thiruvarutprakasa Vallalār Chidambaram Ramalingam (5 October 1823 – 30 January 1874), commonly known in India and across the world as Vallalār, Ramalinga Swamigal and Ramalinga Adigal, was one of the most famous Tamil Saints and also one of the greatest Tamil poets of the 19th century and belongs to a line of Tamil saints known as " gnana siddhars" (gnana means higher wisdom). Integral yoga, sometimes also called supramental yoga, is the yoga-based philosophy and practice of Sri Aurobindo and ''The Mother'' (Mirra Alfassa). Swami Satchidananda
Satchidananda Saraswati (; 22 December 1914 – 19 August 2002), born C. K. Ramaswamy Gounder and usually known as Swami Satchidananda, was an Indian yoga guru and religious teacher, who gained fame and following in the West. He founded his own brand of Integral Yoga, and its spacious Yogaville headquarters in Virginia. He was the author of philosophical and spiritual books and had a core of founding disciples who compiled his translations and updated commentaries on traditional handbooks of yoga such as the ''Yoga Sutras of Patanjali'' and the ''Bhagavad Gita'' for modern readers. In 1991, multiple female members of staff made allegations of sexual manipulation and abuse, more coming forwards after an initial protest. Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU) is the state agricultural university of Tamil Nadu located in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India. History The Tamil Nadu Agricultural University had its genesis from establishment of an agricultural school at Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India, as early as 1868 which was later relocated at Coimbatore during 1906.
