Mynach Falls (Welsh: ''Rhaeadr Mynach'') is a waterfall near Aberystwyth in the county of Ceredigion, Wales. It occurs where the River Mynach drops in 5 steps down a steep and narrow ravine before it meets the River Rheidol. The area is famous for the Devil's Bridge (''Welsh: Pontarfynach'' - Bridge Over the Mynach River), a series of three arch bridges that span the river, one above the other. Aberystwyth
Aberystwyth () is a university and seaside town as well as a community in Ceredigion, Wales. Located in the historic county of Cardiganshire, means "the mouth of the Ystwyth". Aberystwyth University has been a major educational location in Wales since the establishment of University College Wales in 1872. A waterfall is a point in a river or stream where water flows over a vertical drop or a series of steep drops. Afon Mynach
The Afon Mynach ( en, River Mynach) is a small river in Ceredigion, Wales. Its source is at the meeting of two smaller rivers, the Nant Rhuddnant and the Afon Merin. Both of these streams have their sources in lakes high on the Cambrian Mountains, the Afon Merin flows from Llynoedd Ieuan, and the Nant Rhuddnant from Llyn Rhuddnant. The Afon Mynach is notable for the famous Mynach Falls in the village of Devil's Bridge (Pontarfynach), where the river plunges 90 metres into the gorge of the River Rheidol. River Rheidol
The Afon Rheidol is a river in Ceredigion, Wales, in length. The source is Plynlimon. Receiving an average annual rainfall of , Plynlimon is also the source of both the Wye and the Severn. Geography and geology The Rheidol rises in the headwaters of the Nant-y-moch Reservoir on the western flanks of Plynlimon, near the sources of the Wye and Severn. Devil's Bridge ( cy, Pontarfynach, lit. "The bridge on the Mynach") is a village and community in Ceredigion, Wales.
