My Last Day (animated Short)
''My Last Day'' is a 2011 Christian anime short film created by The Jesus Film Project, with Barry Cook and STUDIO4°C. The story unfolds through the eyes of a criminal who receives the same crucifixion sentence as Jesus Christ. This is a short film of regret, repentance and redemption. The film is available in several different languages. Plot The film begins with a prisoner watching from the prison bars as Jesus gets flogged in Pilate’s courtyard. He remembers Jesus' teaching about "giving to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s and to God the things that are God’s." and wonders why they’re hurting an innocent man. Horrified, he remembers his own crime: he’s in an alley with a rich gentleman. Holding him up with a knife, he tries to take a box of coins and belongings. The thief is nervous so when he tries to go after the man, he fumbles. The man fights him with the box. Coins go flying. The thief accidentally stabs the man in the struggle. Barry Cook
Barry Cook (born August 12, 1958) is an American film director who has worked in the animated film industry since the 1980s. Cook and Tony Bancroft directed ''Mulan'' (1998), for which they won the 1998 Annie Award for Best Animated Feature. Cook was also the co-director for ''Arthur Christmas'' (2011), directed by Sarah Smith. Cook also directed ''Walking with Dinosaurs'' (2013) with Neil Nightingale. Background Cook was born in Nashville, Tennessee on August 12, 1958. He made his first film when he was ten years old. Cook interned as an assistant animator beginning in December 1978 at the animation studio Hanna-Barbera, where he contributed as an assistant animator on "The New Fred and Barney Show" and many others. He also contributed to the pilot episode of the 1981 TV series ''The Smurfs''. In 1981, Disney hired Cook as an effects animator for ''Tron'' (1982). is a Japanese animation studio founded by Eiko Tanaka and Koji Morimoto in 1986. The name comes from the temperature at which water is most dense. History Studio 4 °C has produced numerous feature films, OVAs, and shorts. Early film titles include ''Memories'' (1995), ''Spriggan'' (1998), and ''Princess Arete'' (2001). Penitent Thief
The Penitent Thief, also known as the Good Thief, Wise Thief, Grateful Thief, or Thief on the Cross, is one of two unnamed thieves in Luke's account of the crucifixion of Jesus in the New Testament. The Gospel of Luke describes him asking Jesus to "remember him" when Jesus comes into his kingdom. The other, as the impenitent thief, challenges Jesus to save himself and both of them to prove that he is the Messiah. He is officially venerated in the Catholic Church.
