Mutukula Airport is an airport serving the town of Mutukula in the Rakai District of the Central Region of Uganda. The airport is on the Masaka-Kakuto road, north of Mutukala, which straddles the Ugandan border with Tanzania. 2010 satellite imagery shows the runway obstructed with brush. The Uganda Civil Aviation Authority (UCAA) is the government agency responsible for licensing, monitoring, and regulating civil aviation matters. It is administered by the Uganda Ministry of Works and Transport. Rakai District is a district in the Central Region of Uganda. The town of Rakai is the site of the district's headquarters.
