Mutants Down Under
''Mutants Down Under'' is the third supplement to the '' After the Bomb'' setting of the '' Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles & Other Strangeness'' role-playing game. It was published by Palladium Books in June 1988 and uses the Palladium Megaversal system. Publication history ''Mutants Down Under'' was written by Erick Wujcik with art by Kevin Fales and James Dombrowski, and was published by Palladium Books in 1988 as a 48-page book. Contents ''Mutants Down Under'' details an Australian campaign setting and scenarios for use with '' After the Bomb!'', describing and mapping that continent after the holocaust. Megaversal System
The Megaversal system, sometimes known as the Palladium system, is a role-playing game system used in most of the role-playing games published by Palladium Books. It uses dice for roll-under percentile skill checks, roll-high combat checks and saving throws, and determination of damage sustained in melee encounters by which a character's Health (gaming)#Hit points, hit points, Structural Damage Capacity (S.D.C.), or Mega-Damage Capacity (M.D.C.) is reduced accordingly. Conception Shannon Appelcline, in his book ''Designers & Dragons'', states that the Megaversal system was an overhaul of the game system that Palladium had originally derived from ''Advanced Dungeons & Dragons'': "It was one part highly traditional – with its character classes, experience points and levels – and one part arcane – with its abbreviations like OCCs, RCCs, PCCs, PPE, SDC and MDC." Airship
An airship or dirigible balloon is a type of aerostat or lighter-than-air aircraft that can navigate through the air under its own power. Aerostats gain their lift from a lifting gas that is less dense than the surrounding air. In early dirigibles, the lifting gas used was hydrogen, due to its high lifting capacity and ready availability. Helium gas has almost the same lifting capacity and is not flammable, unlike hydrogen, but is rare and relatively expensive. Significant amounts were first discovered in the United States and for a while helium was only available for airships in that country. Domestic Buffalo
The water buffalo (''Bubalus bubalis''), also called the domestic water buffalo or Asian water buffalo, is a large bovid originating in the Indian subcontinent and Southeast Asia. Today, it is also found in Europe, Australia, North America, South America and some African countries. The Dreaming, also referred to as Dreamtime, is a term devised by early anthropologists to refer to a religio-cultural worldview attributed to Australian Aboriginal mythology, Australian Aboriginal beliefs. It was originally used by Francis James Gillen, Francis Gillen, quickly adopted by his colleague Walter Baldwin Spencer, Baldwin Spencer and thereafter popularised by A. P. Elkin, who, however, later revised his views. James Dombrowski (artist)
James Anderson Dombrowski (January 17, 1897 – May 2, 1983) was an American civil rights activist and Methodist minister. He founded the Highlander Folk School in Tennessee, led the Southern Conference for Human Welfare, and was director of the Southern Conference Educational Fund from 1948 to 1966. A Christian socialist and radical organizer, he was a frequent target of segregationists who accused him of being a Communist. He sued the state of Louisiana in the 1965 Supreme Court case '' Dombrowski v. Pfister''. Dombrowski was ordained as a Methodist minister and earned his PhD from the Union Theological Seminary in New York.
