Dhaka Government Muslim High School ( bn, ঢাকা গভঃ মুসলিম হাই স্কুল) is a secondary school in Lakshmi Bazaar in Dhaka, Bangladesh. It is one of the oldest schools in Dhaka. Abdur Razzaq (professor)
Abdur Razzaq ( bn, আবদুর রাজ্জাক; – 28 November 1999) was a Bangladeshi scholar, academic, public intellectual and one of the first National Professors of Bangladesh. Early life and education Razzaq was born in 1914 in the Paragram village of Nawabganj Upazila of Dhaka District. His father, Abdul Ali, was a police officer. After his matriculation from the Government Muslim High School, Dhaka and intermediate exam from Dhaka College, he was admitted to the department of political economy at the University of Dhaka in 1931. In 1936, he completed his masters and then joined as a lecturer in the same department. When the department of political economy was bisected, he chose to join the department of political science. After the second world war, he went to London to study under Harold Laski at London School of Economics. Kazi Abdul Baset
Kazi Abdul Baset (December 4, 1935 – May 23, 2002) was a Bangladeshi painter and art teacher. He was awarded Ekushey Padak in 1991 by the Government of Bangladesh. Education and career Baset was born to Abdul Jalil and Nurjahan Begum. He passed his matriculation from Muslim Government High School in Dhaka in 1951. In 1956, he completed his bachelor's in fine arts from the Government Art Institute (later Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Dhaka) in Dhaka. With a Fulbright Fellowship he got higher training in painting at the Art Institute of Chicago University during 1963–1964. He then joined the head of Drawing and Painting Department of the Government Art Institute. He retired from the institute in 1995. Khwaja Wasiuddin
Khwaja Wasiuddin (1920–1992) was an army general and diplomat. He started his career as a young officer in the British Indian Army and later became a senior general in Pakistan Army. He was the permanent representative of Bangladesh to the United Nations. Early life Khwaja Wasiuddin was born on 20 March 1920 in Ahsan Manzil, Dacca, Bengal Presidency (Present-day Bangladesh). Abu Nayeem Mohammad Bazlur Rashid (known as ANM Bazlur Rashid; 8 May 1911 – ) was a Bangladeshi educationist and litterateur.
