''Music for an Accelerated Culture'' is the debut album from new rave/grindie band Hadouken!, released as an Aerials exclusive on 24 April 2008 and as a physical copy on 5 May 2008. The album contains nine songs, three of which ("Spend Your Life", "What She Did" and "Declaration of War") had been previously played on tour. The album includes two older Hadouken! songs, Liquid Lives and That Boy That Girl. Hadouken! (band)
Hadouken! are a British band formed in London in 2006 by singer, writer and producer James Smith and synth player Alice Spooner along with guitarist Daniel "Pilau" Rice, bassist Christopher Purcell and drummer Nick Rice. The band name is taken from the special attack of the same name from the ''Street Fighter'' video game series. It was in Leeds that Hadouken! began their own record label, Surface Noise Records. History Early years After forming the label, Smith began writing and demoing the first Hadouken! tracks. In February 2007, Hadouken! self-released a two-song limited edition vinyl, a double-a side of "That Boy That Girl" and "Tuning In". The is a special attack from Capcom's ''Street Fighter'' series of fighting games. Game designer Takashi Nishiyama credits an energy attack called Hadouho (lit. the "Wave Motion Gun"), from the 1970s anime ''Space Battleship Yamato'', as the origin of Hadouken. It is used by the characters Ryu, Ken, Sakura, Akuma (Gouki in Japan) and Gouken. The Hadouken and the Shoryuken are the two archetypal moves of these characters, as well as some of the most iconic and famous elements of the ''Street Fighter'' series or even video games in general. Kissy Sell Out (born Thomas Bisdee on 18 June 1984 in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire, England) is a British/Canadian DJ, producer, graphic designer, label manager of San City High Records and Stepper Man, part-time astrophysicist and science columnist for Sick Chirpse. ''Not Here to Please You'' is an EP by British band Hadouken! released in USB form and digital download only. The band announced on 1 October 2007 that they would be doing something "slightly different" for their second mixtape. With the debut mixtape being released only on the Internet, it was announced that the second mixtape would be released in stores, as a 128MB USB memory stick. The mixtape was set to feature 6 new Hadouken! songs, including the single "Leap of Faith" and a remix of a previous single, "Liquid Lives". On 9 October 2007, the new track "Girls" was added to the band's website, as a flash banner, that when clicked played a low quality version of the new track. Upon the USB's release, some Mac users had problems with the product, however a fix was quickly posted on Hadouken!'s website.
