Mur De Péguère
The Mur de Péguère (also known as the Col de Péguère) (elevation ) is a mountain pass in the French Pyrenees in the department of Ariège, between the communities of Massat (south) and Sentenac-de-Sérou (north). Details of climb From Massat, the climb initially follows the D618 towards the Col de Port before turning onto the D17 just after the Col des Caougnous. The total ascent is long, with a height gained of at an average gradient of 7.4%, with the section after the Col des Caougnous having stretches in excess of 18%. From the Foix direction, the ascent starts at La Mouline (Serres-sur-Arget) from where the climb is , gaining , in height at an average gradient of 4.8%. Sandy Casar
Sandy Casar (born 2 February 1979) is a French former professional racing cyclist, who competed as a professional between 2000 and 2013, all for the team. His greatest results have been winning three stages of the Tour de France, as well the overall classification of the Route du Sud in 2005. He also won the one-day race Paris–Camembert in 2011. Career Born in Mantes-la-Jolie, Yvelines, Casar turned professional in 2000 after riding for Jean Floch-Mantes as an amateur. Casar's talent was revealed in Paris–Nice 2002, which he finished second at 23 years old. He finished 13th in the 2003 Giro d'Italia, in front of climber Marco Pantani. He had his biggest win in a stage of the 2003 Tour de Suisse. He then finished 16th in the 2004 Tour de France, and sixth in the 2006 Giro d'Italia, 25 minutes behind winner Ivan Basso. The 2017 Tour de France was the 104th edition of the Tour de France, one of cycling's Grand Tour (cycling), Grand Tours. Simon Geschke (born 13 March 1986) is a German professional road cyclist, who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam . Biography He is the son of former track cyclist Jürgen Geschke. In the 2015 Tour de France, Geschke won a mountain stage as he was part of the breakaway and soloed across the line in Pra-Loup. In 2022 Geschke entered the Tour de France for the tenth time in his career. For the first time in his career he wore a classification jersey after getting involved in the breakaway on stage 9, and earning enough points to take the lead in the mountains classification. Limoux
Limoux (; oc, Limós ) is a commune and subprefecture in the Aude department, a part of the ancient Languedoc province and the present-day Occitanie region in southern France. Its vineyards are famous for being first to produce sparkling wine known as Blanquette de Limoux. Geography Limoux lies on the river Aude about due south of Carcassonne. Hugo Houle (born 27 September 1990) is a Canadian professional cyclist, who rides for UCI WorldTeam . Career Born in Sainte-Perpétue, Centre-du-Québec, Quebec, Houle began racing triathlons, aged 10, alongside his brother, before focussing on cycling at the age of 16. 2022 Tour De France
The 2022 Tour de France was the 109th edition of the Tour de France. It started in Copenhagen, Denmark on 1 July 2022 and ended with the final stage on the Champs-Élysées, Paris on 24 July 2022. Denmark's Jonas Vingegaard () won the general classification for the first time. Two-time defending champion Tadej Pogačar () finished in second place, and former winner Geraint Thomas () finished third. This was the first Tour since 1989 in which each of the three podium finishers had made the podium on a previous occasion. The race began in Copenhagen before returning to France.
