Mrinal Das (14 January 1948) is an Indian trade unionist. Mrinal Das was elected general secretary of the Bengal Provincial Students Federation in 1970. He also became a member of the all India secretariat of the Students Federation of India. Later Das became involved in trade union activism. In 1986 he was elected as one of the secretaries of the West Bengal State Committee of the Centre of Indian Trade Unions (CITU). Mrinal Gore
Mrinal Gore (c. 24 June 1928 – 17 July 2012, Vasai) was a veteran socialist leader of India, and was a member of the Parliament of India. She died on 17 July 2012 at the age of around 84. Her death was mourned by Prime Minister of India Manmohan Singh and many other Indians. Mrinal Gore was born Mrinal Mohile in a Marathi CKP family and was a medical student. Towards the end of her schooling she came in contact with Rashtra Seva Dal - the cultural and social wing of the Socialist Party. Her inspiration was Sane Guruji and it was RSD that brought her in touch with dynamic leaders like Keshav Gore, a Marathi Brahmin, who mentored the young recruits during the days prior to Independence. Mrinal Haque (September 9, 1958 – August 22, 2020) was a Bangladeshi sculptor. Appointed by the Government of Bangladesh, best known for having created murals on the city streets of Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh. Education Born in Rajshahi, Bangladesh, after receiving education from Rajshahi Collegiate School and Rajshahi Cadet College, he joined the artworld in 1977 and received his BA from The Fine Arts Institute of Dhaka University. Mrinal Hazarika ( Assamese : মৃনাল হাজৰিকা) alias Plaban Phukan is the ex-commander of the 28th Battalion of ULFA, the banned revolutionary organisation of Assam. Mrinal Sen (''Beng.'' মৃণাল সেন; 14 May 1923 – 30 December 2018) was an Indian film director, and screenwriter known for his work primarily in Bengali, and few Hindi and Telugu language films. Regarded as one of the finest Indian filmmakers, along with his contemporaries Satyajit Ray, Ritwik Ghatak, and Tapan Sinha, Sen played major role in the New Wave cinema of eastern India.
