Alejandro Moya (born 1969), commonly nicknamed Iskander, is one of the merging figures of the contemporary independent Cuban cinema. Director and scriptwriter of series for Cuban television, Moya directed his first feature film entitled ''Mañana'' (''Tomorrow'') in 2006, casting Rafael E. Hernández, Enrique Molina, Hugo Reyes, Violeta Rodriguez and Adria Santana. Salvador Moyà-Solà (born 1955) is a Spanish paleontologist. He works in the Institut Català de Paleontología Miquel Crusafont in Sabadell, Catalonia. Richard Moya (August 14, 1932 - February 16, 2017) was the first Mexican-American elected to public office in Travis County, Texas, becoming County Commissioner in 1970. Characterized as a "legendary Chicano activist" and a "political trailblazer" by Austin newspapers, he led the way for Latinos to follow him into public office. Pedro Moya de Contreras (sometimes ''Pedro de Moya y Contreras'') (c. 1528, Pedroche, Córdoba Province, Spain – December 21, 1591, Madrid) was a prelate and colonial administrator who held the three highest offices in the Spanish colony of New Spain, namely inquisitor general, Archbishop of Mexico, and Viceroy of Mexico, September 25, 1584 – October 17, 1585. Moya has been at the forefront since the 1970's of straddling the latest forms of media and technology. He is an early pioneer of video art in the metaverse, working in Second Life since July 2007. Mike Moya (born December 1, 1969) is a Canadian rock musician, who is one of the founding members of post-rock band Godspeed You! Black Emperor. He left the band in 1998 to concentrate on his other bands Molasses, Set Fire to Flames and HṚṢṬA., but rejoined the band during their reunion in 2010. He was part of the live band of labelmate Elizabeth Anka Vajagic. He lives between Berlin and Montreal with his partner Maria Hinze and their family. Godspeed You!
