Mesirah (or mesira, he, to turn over, italic=yes) is the action in which one Jew reports the conduct of another Jew to a non-rabbinic authority in a manner and under the circumstances forbidden by rabbinic law. This may not necessarily apply to reporting legitimate crimes to responsible authority, but does apply to turning over a Jew to an abusive authority, or to a legitimate one who would punish the criminal in ways seen as excessive by Jewish community, though "excessive" punishment by non-Jews may be permissible if a precept of the Torah has been violated. The term for an individual who commits ''mesirah'' is ''moser'' () or ''mossur''. Moser River, Nova Scotia
Moser River is a rural community on the Eastern Shore of Nova Scotia, Canada, in the Halifax Regional Municipality. The community lies along the Marine Drive on Trunk 7, east of Sheet Harbour and southwest of Sherbrooke. The community is located along the shores of Necum Teuch Harbour, an inlet of the Atlantic Ocean, and is at the mouth of Moser River. The area was called ''Noogoomkeak'' in the mi'kmaq language, translating to "soft sand place". The community is named for Henry Moser, who was the son of Jacob Moser, who settled the area in the early 1800s. The first school in the community was built in 1905, and another school, Moser River Consolidated School, was built in 1957. The school closed in 2015, due to its very low student population. Marine Drive Academy in Sheet Harbour serves the community and its surroundings at all grade levels. Moser Farm, also known as The Mennonite Heritage Farm or Adirondack Mennonite Heritage Farm, is a historic farm complex located near Kirschnerville in Lewis County, New York. The complex consists of Moser family dwelling and a compact grouping of a granary and two English barns. The frame dwelling was built in 1845 and consists of a 2-story, three-bay block and four-bay, -story ell. It was used for Mennonite worship services in the 19th century. The granary dates to the mid- to late 19th century, and the barns date to 1874. The property was purchased in the 1980s as a living history museum. The Kolmogorov–Arnold–Moser (KAM) theorem is a result in dynamical systems about the persistence of quasiperiodic motions under small perturbations. The theorem partly resolves the small-divisor problem that arises in the perturbation theory of classical mechanics. The problem is whether or not a small perturbation of a conservative dynamical system results in a lasting quasiperiodic orbit.
