Enzo Moser
Enzo Moser (5 November 1940 – 25 July 2008) was an Italian professional road bicycle racer from 1962 to 1967. He was the first winner of the Giro del Trentino in 1962. He came from a famous family of cyclists, the most famous of whom is his younger brother Francesco Moser, which also includes older brother Aldo, younger brother Diego and nephews Leonardo Moser and Moreno Moser, all of whom are or were professional cyclists. His achievements also include two days in the pink jersey during the 1964 Giro d'Italia. He was born in Palù di Giovo, Trentino, which incidentally is also the birthplace of Gilberto Simoni. He was killed in an agricultural accident on 25 July 2008. Hans Joachim Moser (25 May 1889, Berlin''Die kleine Enzyklopädie'', Encyclios-Verlag, Zurich, 1950, Vol. 2, p. 202. – 14 August 1967, Berlin) was a German musicologist, composer and singer. Moser was the son of the music-professor Andreas Moser (1859–1925), a pupil and important early biographer of Joseph Joachim. He studied the History of Music (mainly with Gustav Jenner and Robert Kahn), German philology and Philosophy in Marburg, Berlin and Leipzig, and studied violin with his father. With the work Musical Confederations in the German Middle Ages he obtained his doctorate in 1910 at Rostock. He took part as a lieutenant during the First World War, was officially accepted as part of the University of Halle in 1919, and in 1922 became extraordinary Professor. George Michael Moser (17 January 1706 – 24 January 1783) was a renowned artist and enameller of the 18th century, father of celebrated floral painter Mary Moser, and, with his daughter, among the founder members of the Royal Academy in 1768. Biography He was the son of Michael Moser, an eminent Swiss engineer and worker in metal. Moser was born in Schaffhausen, Switzerland and trained initially as a coppersmith in Geneva.
