Monkaen Kaenkoon (, [], ) (b. July 20, 1973 — ) is a famous Thai Mor lam, Luk thung singer from Isan area. He performs many popular songs including "Rim Fang Nong Harn", "Roang Ngan Pid Kid Hod Nong", "Chee Wit Puea Chat Rak Nee Puea Ther", "Trong Nan Kue Na Thee Trong Nee Kue Hua Jai", "Ai Jon Ton Dai Bor" and "Kham Wa Hak Kan Mun Hear Tim Sai". Life and career Kaenkoon was born as Kittikun Boonkhamchun on July 20, 1973 in Loeng Nok Tha District, Yasothon Province. He is the son of Thongkham and Somthan Boonkhamchun. He learned to sing from his father. He recorded a studio album with Pornsak Songsaeng titled ''Sia Soon Muea Boon Pawech'' by stage name Ponrnphet Boonkhamchun, and he was a singer in RS Public Company Limited by stage name Manop Wongphet, after that, he went on military service and served the country for 2 years. Yasothon Province
Yasothon province ( th, ยโสธร, ), one of Thailand's seventy-six provinces (''changwat''), lies in central northeastern Thailand also called Isan. The province was established by the revolutionary council of Field Marshal Thanom Kittikachorn, after its Announcement No. 70 which came into force on 3 March 1972. Pornsak Songsaeng (; born Boonsao Prajantasen; 2 November 1960 – 15 October 2021) was a Thai luk thung and mor lam singer. He was known for the song "Sao Jan Kang Koab". Biography Songsaeng was born Boonsao Prajantasen on 2 November 1960 in Khon Kaen Province. Career Songsaeng began performing on-stage in 1981 before establishing his music band, Champ Isan. He was later given the stage name Pornsak Songsaeng by Rak Watthanaya. He has recorded many studio albums. Songsaeng's fame peaked between 1986 and 1988 following the release of his studio album, ''Toey Sao Ja Kang Koab''. His other popular studio albums include ''Phoo Phae Rak'' and ''Mee Miea Dek''. Loeng Nok Tha ( th, เลิงนกทา, ) is a district of Yasothon province in northeastern Thailand. Loeng Nok Tha town, the administrative center of the district, lies 69 km from Mueang Yasothon, and approximately 600 km from Bangkok. History Loeng Nok Tha was established as a minor district (''king amphoe''), under jurisdiction of Mueang Amnat Charoen district in Ubon Ratchathani province on 1 September 1937.
