Mohsen Amiraslani Zanjani (Persian:محسن امیراصلانی زنجانی ) (born: 1977 - death: September 24, 2014) was an Iranian psychoanalyst, who was executed for blasphemy and insulting to prophet Jonah Jonah or Jonas, ''Yōnā'', "dove"; gr, Ἰωνᾶς ''Iōnâs''; ar, يونس ' or '; Latin: ''Ionas'' son of Amittai, is a prophet in the Hebrew Bible and the Quran, from Gath-hepher of the northern kingdom of Israel in about the 8th cent .... He was 37 years old and had a two-year child when he was executed. Aslani had spent eight years in prison before being executed. His conviction was for the religious crime of "heresy because he rejected the tale of Jonah and the Whale", which did not itself carry a death sentence. Iranian authorities stated that his execution was instead related to "accusations of rape". Abadan
Abadan ( fa, آبادان ''Ābādān'', ) is a city and capital of Abadan County, Khuzestan Province, which is located in the southwest of Iran. It lies on Abadan Island ( long, 3–19 km or 2–12 miles wide). The island is bounded in the west by the Arvand waterway and to the east by the Bahmanshir outlet of the Karun River (the Arvand Rood), from the Persian Gulf, near the Iran–Iraq border. Abadan is 140 km from the provincial capital city of Ahvaz. Karaj ( fa, کرج, ) is the capital of Alborz Province, Iran, and effectively a satellite city of Tehran.
