Mohamad Al-Modiahki
Mohammed Ahmed Al-Modiahki ( ar, محمد أحمد المضيحكي; born June 1, 1974) is a chess Grandmaster. He was the first player in Qatar to earn the title of grandmaster, and is the country's highest ranked player. He was awarded the trophy of the ''Player of the Century within the Arab Countries''. Al-Modiahki has participated in nine Chess Olympiads in 1988, 1990, 1992, 1994, 1996, 1998, 2000, 2002 and 2006 with an overall record of (+60,=28,-21). At the 32nd Chess Olympiad in 1996 and he won the gold medal for his individual performance on the first board, scoring 8/10. A performance which he repeated at the 33rd Chess Olympiad in 1998, this time with 7.5/8. In 1994 and 2002, his individual performance earned him the bronze medal. Hichem Hamdouchi
Hichem Hamdouchi (Arabic هشام الحمدوشی; born 8 October 1972, in Tangier) is a Moroccan- French chess grandmaster. Hamdouchi has won the Moroccan Chess Championship eleven times, first in 1988 at 15 years old, when he was first allowed to play in important tournaments. In the same year, in the tournament of Casablanca, he was noticed for his talent and qualified for the national team of Morocco to participate in the Chess Olympiad of 1988 in Thessaloniki. At the age of 17 he managed to qualify in the African selection for the World Team Chess Championship in Lucerne. Here he made remarkable victories over Jeroen Piket, John Fedorowicz and Ye Jiangchuan. Zhu Chen
Zhu Chen (, ar, زو تشن; born March 13, 1976) is a Chinese-born Qatari chess Grandmaster. In 1999, she became China's second women's world chess champion after Xie Jun, and China's 13th Grandmaster. In 2006, she obtained Qatari citizenship and since then plays for Qatar. Biography In 1988 Zhu became the first Chinese player to win an international chess competition when she won the World Girls Under-12 Championship in Romania. She won the World Junior Girls Chess Championship in 1994 and 1996. When she became Grandmaster in 1999, she was the seventh woman to do so.
