Mizoram College Of Nursing
Mizoram College of Nursing is a nursing college run by Civil Hospital, Aizawl under the Health & Family Welfare Department, Mizoram, India. Campus The campus is located in Falkawn. The foundation stone was laid on 24 January 2011. It features a library, computer lab, nursing lab, classrooms, and a hostel. It has 22 teaching staff and 29 non teaching staff. History The school began in 1980 with an intake of 20 students for the general nursing and midwifery course. About 500 students have graduated since then. The institution was upgraded to provide degree level education in 2005. Course The college offers a B.Sc.Nursing course. Affiliation The institution has gained approval from the Indian Nursing Council (INC), Delhi and Mizoram Nursing Council (MNC), Aizawl. It is affiliated with Mizoram University. Aizawl
Aizawl (; Mizo: ) is the capital of the state of Mizoram in India. Aizawl was officially established on 25 February 1890. With a population of 293,416, it is the largest city in the state. It is also the centre of administration containing all the important government offices, state assembly house and civil secretariat. The population of Aizawl strongly reflects the different communities of the ethnic Mizo people. Mizoram
Mizoram () is a state in Northeast India, with Aizawl as its seat of government and capital city. The name of the state is derived from "Mizo people, Mizo", the endonym, self-described name of the native inhabitants, and "Ram", which in the Mizo language means "land." Thus "Mizo-ram" means "land of the Mizos". Within India's northeast region, it is the southernmost landlocked state, sharing borders with three of the Seven Sister States, namely Tripura, Assam and Manipur. Mizoram University
Mizoram University is a central university under the University Grants Commission, Government of India, and was established on 2 July 2001, by the Mizoram University Act (2000) of the Parliament of India. The President of India is the official Visitor, and the Governor of Mizoram acts as the Chief Rector as per Mizoram University (Amendment) Bill, 2007. Civil Hospital, Aizawl is a state-owned hospital in Aizawl, Mizoram, India. Founded as a 'Coolie Dispensary' in Colonial India in 1896, it grew up to the form of a hospital in 1906. Education in Mizoram consists of a diverse array of formal education systems ranging from elementary to university, from training institution to technical courses.
