Miss Universe Germany is a national Beauty pageant in Germany to select an official candidate for the Miss Universe pageant. History Miss Germany started in 1952. Miss Universe Germany started in 2009. Currently, the German franchise of Miss Universe is owned by former Miss Universe Germany winner Natalie Ackermann. She is also the franchiser of Miss Universe Colombia in Colombia. In Miss Universe Germany all the States of Germany but also some of the regions are represented as well. 1952-1999 In 1952 Miss Germany started with Renate Hoy as the first winner, who then became 4th Runner-up at Miss Universe. In 1961, Germany has the official winner of Miss Universe 1961, Marlene Schmidt. A beauty pageant is a competition that has traditionally focused on judging and ranking the physical attributes of the contestants. Pageants have now evolved to include inner beauty, with criteria covering judging of personality, intelligence, talent, character, and charitable involvement, through private interviews with judges and answers to public on-stage questions. Miss Universe 2015
Miss Universe 2015 was the 64th Miss Universe pageant, held at The AXIS at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas, Nevada, United States on December 20, 2015. This was the first edition of the pageant to be held under the ownership of WME/IMG, which purchased the Miss Universe Organization from Donald Trump on September 14, 2015. Consequently, it is also the first Miss Universe event to be aired by Fox and Azteca as the pageant's respective English and Spanish broadcasters instead of NBC. At the end of the event, Paulina Vega of Colombia crowned Pia Wurtzbach of the Philippines as Miss Universe 2015. Miss Universe 2016 was the 65th Miss Universe pageant, held at the Mall of Asia Arena, in Pasay, Metro Manila, Philippines on January 30, 2017. Miriam Rautert (born 21 March 1996) is a German model and beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned Miss Universe Germany 2019. She represented Germany at the Miss Universe 2019 pageant.
