Miss Santa Catarina is a Brazilian Beauty pageant which selects the representative for the State of Santa Catarina at the Miss Brazil Miss Brazil ( pt, Miss Brasil) is a Brazilian national beauty pageant, held annually since 1954. A beauty pageant is a competition that has traditionally focused on judging and ranking the physical attributes of the contestants. Pageants have now evolved to include inner beauty, with criteria covering judging of personality, intelligence, talent, character, and charitable involvement, through private interviews with judges and answers to public on-stage questions. The term beauty pageant refers originally to the Big Four international beauty pageants. Balneário Camboriú () is a coast beach city in the Brazilian southern state of Santa Catarina. The city, with its steep hills dropping down to the sea, is popular amongst South Americans. Palhoça
Palhoça is a municipality in Santa Catarina, Brazil. History Palhoça was founded in 1793, when the city was part of the way between Lages and Florianópolis in order to protect the capital state from possible invasions. Its name comes from "straw roof", named such because of the large number of houses with this kind of roof when the first Palhoça citizens were natives. Geography Palhoça is located in the greater Florianópolis region. Paraná (state)

Araranguá
Araranguá is a city located in the southern part of Santa Catarina state, in the south of Brazil. It has 68,867 inhabitants and was settled mainly by Portuguese and Italians. Araranguá is known as "A Cidade das Avenidas" ("''The City of the Avenues''") because of its wide roads. History Until the 18th century, the city was inhabited mostly by Carijós and Kaingang Indians.
