Miss Brazil 2017
Miss Brazil 2017 ( pt, Miss Brasil 2017), officially Miss Brazil Be Emotion 2017 ( pt, Miss Brasil Be Emotion 2017), was the 63rd edition of the Miss Brazil pageant. It was held on 19 August 2017 at the Vermelhos Theater in Ilhabela, São Paulo, Brazil and was hosted by Cássio Reis with Rayza Nicácio as a backstage correspondent. Raissa Santana of Paraná crowned her successor Monalysa Alcântara of Piauí at the end of the event. Alcântara represented Brazil at the Miss Universe 2017 pageant and placed in the Top 10. Monalysa Alcântara
Monalysa Maria Alcântara Nascimento (born 24 January 1999) is a Brazilian model and beauty pageant titleholder, who was crowned Miss Brasil 2017, becoming the first representative from Piauí and the third woman of Afro-Brazilian origin to win the crown. She represented Brazil at Miss Universe 2017, where she placed in the top ten. Since 2023, she has been the State Director for the Miss Piauí state pageant. Life and career Alcântara was born in Teresina, Piauí. She began modeling at age fourteen, and is a university student studying business administration and fashion. Pageantry Alcântara began her pageant career after being crowned Miss Teen Piauí 2016, at age seventeen. She went on to represent Piauí at the Miss Teen Brazil 2016 pageant, where she was a runner-up. The following year, Alcântara was crowned Miss Piauí 2017. Aquidauana
Aquidauana is a municipality located in the Brazilian state of Mato Grosso do Sul. It takes its name from the river with which the name is shared. The first European settlers were imperial soldiers who arrived during the Paraguayan War and were then settled on the lands they had occupied, between the Rivers Aquidauana and Negro, after the cessation of hostilities. Aquidauana was founded on 15 August 1892 by a local committee including several leading colonels and farmers. Cáceres is a municipality in the Brazilian state of Mato Grosso. It covers an area of 24,000km2 and as of 2020 had an estimated population of 94,861. Pirenópolis
Pirenópolis is a town located in the Brazilian state of Goiás. It is known for its waterfalls and Portuguese colonial architecture, and a popular festival involving mounted horses called Festa do Divino Espírito Santo which takes place 45 days after Easter. Miss Brazil World 2016 was the 27th edition of the Miss Brazil World pageant and the 2nd under CNB Miss Brazil. The contest took place on June 25, 2016. Each state, the Federal District (Brazil), Federal District and various Insular Regions & Cities competed for the title.
