Miss Mississippi Teen USA
The Miss Mississippi Teen USA competition is the pageant that selects the representative for the state of Mississippi in the Miss Teen USA pageant. The pageant was directed by Premier Pageants from 2001 to 2010, before becoming part of Greenwood Productions in 2010 under the ownership of Miss Tennessee USA 1989 Kim Greenwood. Mississippi has had two Miss Teen USA placements as of 2010. They have had one Miss USA and a Miss Teen USA in 1987 becoming the 5th state that won the Miss Teen USA title for the first time, and in 2014, Vaeda Mann was 1st runner-up. Six titleholders have competed at Miss USA. McKenzie Cole of Vicksburg was crowned Miss Mississippi Teen USA 2022 on April 2, 2022 at Pearl River Resort in Philadelphia. She will represent Mississippi for the title of Miss Teen USA 2022. A beauty pageant is a competition that has traditionally focused on judging and ranking the physical attributes of the contestants. Pageants have now evolved to include inner beauty, with criteria covering judging of personality, intelligence, talent, character, and charitable involvement, through private interviews with judges and answers to public on-stage questions. The term beauty pageant refers originally to the Big Four international beauty pageants. Pageant titles are subdivided into Miss, Mrs. or Ms., and Teen – to clearly identify the difference between pageant divisions. Miss Teen USA 2018
Miss Teen USA 2018, the 36th Miss Teen USA pageant, was held on May 18, 2018 at Hirsch Memorial Coliseum in Shreveport, Louisiana. For the first time, the pageant was held concurrently with its sister pageant Miss USA 2018, which was held three days later on May 21, also taking place in Shreveport. Petal, Mississippi
Petal is a city in Forrest County, Mississippi, along the Leaf River. It is part of the Hattiesburg, Mississippi Metropolitan Statistical Area. The population was 10,454 in the 2010 census, increasing to 11,010 in the 2020 census. History The first postmaster of Petal was Irving A. Polk. The post office was established in 1903 and was named after the daughter of a first settler. It is the only city in the U.S. with this name. Miss Teen USA 2012
Miss Teen USA 2012 was the 30th Miss Teen USA pageant. The pageant was held on July 28, 2012 at the Grand Ballroom of the Atlantis Paradise Island in Nassau, The Bahamas. Danielle Doty of Texas crowned Logan West from Connecticut as the new Miss Teen USA 2012 at the end of the event. The 50 states and the District of Columbia competed for the prestigious title and the pageant was streamed globally on the official Miss Teen USA website over its Ustream channel and was also streamed for the first time to Xbox 360 consoles over Xbox Live in North America and in select regions in Europe, Oceania and Latin America. Miss Teen USA 2016 was the 34th Miss Teen USA pageant, was held at The Venetian Theatre in Las Vegas, Nevada on July 30, 2016.
