Miss Grand Laos
Miss Grand Laos (''Lao language, Lao: ມີສແກຣນລາວ'') is an annual female national beauty pageant of Laos, founded by Miss Laos Company Limited in 2017. The winner of which represents the country at its parent contest Miss Grand International. Since 2019, the franchise of the contest has belonged to Prime Modeling Agency which is managed by Saikeo Sidavong. Since its first participation at Miss Grand International, Laos representative was qualified to the top 20 finalists only once in its debutant year, represented by of Vientiane. The reigning Miss Grand Laos is "Daomixay Phachansitthy" who was appointed to represent the country at the Miss Grand International 2021 pageant in Thailand, unfortunately, got non-placement. A beauty pageant is a competition that has traditionally focused on judging and ranking the physical attributes of the contestants. Pageants have now evolved to include inner beauty, with criteria covering judging of personality, intelligence, talent, character, and charitable involvement, through private interviews with judges and answers to public on-stage questions. The term beauty pageant refers originally to the Big Four international beauty pageants. Miss Grand International 2019
Miss Grand International 2019 was the seventh edition of Miss Grand International pageant, was held on October 25, 2019, at Poliedro de Caracas in Caracas, Venezuela, where for the first time in the pageant history the host country delegate won the crown. The nineteen-year-old Valentina Figuera was the first Venezuelan representative to win the title since the establishment of the contest. As was normal for the event, she was crowned by her immediate predecessor, Clara Sosa of Paraguay. Contestants from 60 countries and territories participated in this year's pageant, with a new crown created by Venezuelan jewelry designer George Wittels, the official jewelry sponsor of the Miss Grand International Organization. Miss Grand Laos 2022
Miss Grand Laos 2022 ( lo, ມີສແກຣນລາວ 2022) was the third edition of the Miss Grand Laos beauty pageant, held on August 27, 2022, at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, located in the country's capital, Vientiane. Twenty contestants, who qualified for the national pageant through an audition round held earlier on July 10, competed for the title, and a twenty-five-year-old Lao Development Bank personnel, Phoutsavanh Vongkhamxao was named the winner, and received rewards of ₭100 million Kip in cash, Lao Airlines flights, and others. Vongkhamxao later represented the country at the Miss Grand International 2022 in Indonesia but was unplaced. Miss Grand Laos 2017 ( lo, ມີສແກຣນລາວ 2017) was the inaugural edition of the Miss Grand Laos beauty pageant, held on July 15, 2017, at the ITECC Shopping Mall in the district of Xaysetha, Vientiane. Seventeen candidates who qualified for the national stage through an audition competed for the right to represent the country at Miss Grand International 2017, and an eighteen-year-old Psychologist student from Vientiane, Chinnally Nolasing, was named the winner and received a cash prize of ₭N50 million kip as the reward. Nolasing then took part in the aforementioned international pageant in Vietnam, where she was placed among the top 20 finalists. Lao People's Revolutionary Party
The Lao People's Revolutionary Party (LPRP) is the founding and sole ruling party of the Lao People's Democratic Republic. The party's monopoly on state power is guaranteed by Article 3 of the Constitution of Laos, and it maintains a unitary state with centralised control over the economy and military. The LPRP was established on 22 March 1955 by former members of the Indochinese Communist Party.
