Miss Acre
Miss Acre is a Brazilian beauty pageant which selects the representative for the State of Acre at the Miss Brazil contest. The pageant was created in 1956 and has been held every year since with the exception of 1957, 1960–1962, 1990, 1993, and 2020. The pageant is held annually with representation of several municipalities. Since 2005, the State director of Miss Acre is, Ana Meire Lima, better known by her nickname "Meyre Manaus". Acre still has yet to win any crowns in the national contest. Beauty Pageant
A beauty pageant is a competition that has traditionally focused on judging and ranking the physical attributes of the contestants. Pageants have now evolved to include inner beauty, with criteria covering judging of personality, intelligence, talent, character, and charitable involvement, through private interviews with judges and answers to public on-stage questions. The term beauty pageant refers originally to the Big Four international beauty pageants. Pageant titles are subdivided into Miss, Mrs. or Ms., and Teen – to clearly identify the difference between pageant divisions. Hundreds and thousands of beauty contests are held annually, but the Big Four are considered the most prestigious, widely covered and broadcast by media. Miss Brazil 2016
Miss Brazil 2016 ( pt, Miss Brasil 2016), officially Miss Brazil Be Emotion 2016 ( pt, Miss Brasil Be Emotion 2016), was the 62nd edition of the Miss Brazil pageant. It was held on 1 October 2016 at Citibank Hall in São Paulo, and was hosted by Cássio Reis and Daniele Suzuki with Karol Pinheiro as a backstage correspondent. Marthina Brandt of Rio Grande do Sul crowned her successor Raissa Santana of Paraná at the end of the event. Santana represented Brazil at the Miss Universe 2016 pageant and placed in the Top 13. Miss International 2006
Miss International 2006, the 46th Miss International pageant, was held both in Tokyo, Japan and Beijing, China. The contestants arrived in Tokyo, Japan on October 12 and the finals was held on November 11, 2006 at the Beijing Exhibition Center in Beijing, China. 53 contestants competed. Miss Brazil 2006 ( pt, Miss Brasil 2006) was the 52nd edition of the Miss Brazil pageant. It was held on 8 April 2006 at Claro Hall in Rio de Janeiro, Rio de Janeiro State, Brazil and was hosted by Nayla Micherif and Nivaldo Prieto. Carina Beduschi of Santa Catarina crowned her successor Rafaela Zanella of Rio Grande do Sul at the end of the event. The Miss Brazil 2011, the 57th edition of the Miss Brazil pageant, was held in São Paulo on July 23, 2011.
