Mischa Kamp
Mischa Kamp (born in Rotterdam on 7 August 1970) is a Dutch film director best known for the 2014 TV film ''Jongens'' (English title ''Boys''). Career In 1989, Kamp studied communications science at the New School for Information Services in Amsterdam. In 1991 she moved to the Nederlandse Film en Televisie Academie (Dutch Film and Television Academy), where she graduated in 1996 with the short film ''Mijn moeder heeft ook een pistool''. In the same year she was involved in the VPRO production ''Waskracht!''. After several documentaries and short films, she became known in 2005 through the children's film ''Winky's Horse, Het paard van Sinterklaas'' (English title Winky's Horse). It received multiple award nominations and wins, and screenwriter Tamara Bos won a Golden Calf award for Best Screenplay of a Feature Film. The film received a Golden Film for 100,000 visitors. ''Romy's Salon'' ( nl, Kapsalon Romy) is a 2019 Dutch drama film directed by Mischa Kamp. It was based on the book of the same name by Tamara Bos. In July 2019, it was shortlisted as one of the nine films in contention to be the Dutch entry for the Academy Award for Best International Feature Film at the 92nd Academy Awards, but it was not selected. The KASHISH Mumbai International Queer Film Festival (also known as Mumbai International Queer Film Festival and Mumbai International Queer Film Festival) is an annual LGBT event that has been held in Mumbai, India, since 2010. The film festival screens gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and queer films from India and around the world. It is voted as one of the top five LGBT film festivals in the world. Background 2009 was a historic year for the LGBT movement in India. On 2 July 2009, the Delhi High Court court ruling decriminalised homosexual intercourse between consenting adults and judged Section 377 of the Indian Penal Code to be conflicting with the fundamental rights guaranteed by the Constitution of India. Gijsbrecht Thijmen Matthias "Gijs" Blom (born 2 January 1997) is a Dutch actor. He starred in the films ''Jongens'' (2014) and ''The Forgotten Battle'' (2020). The Cinekid Festival is the largest international film, television and new media festival for children aged 4 to 14 held at the Westergasfabriek in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
