The Federal Government of the United Arab Emirates or the UAE Government is the unitary federal government of the United Arab Emirates, composed of seven emirates with their own rulers (or emir) with varying jurisdiction and authority. Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum ( ar, مكتوم بن محمد بن راشد آل مكتوم; born 24 November 1983) is the Minister of Finance of the United Arab Emirates, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Chairman of Dubai Media Incorporated. He was named as deputy ruler in February 2008 when his elder brother Hamdan was made crown prince. Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum ( ar, حمدان بن راشد أل مكتوم, '; 25 December 1945 – 24 March 2021) was an Emirati politician, the deputy ruler of Dubai and the minister of finance and industry of the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
