The New South Wales Minister for Lands and Water, previously the Minister for Water, Property and Housing is a minister in the New South Wales Government with responsibility for the administration and development for water and crown lands in New South Wales, Australia. The current minister is Kevin Anderson, since 21 December 2021. The minister administers the portfolio through the Planning and Environment cluster, including the Department of Planning and Environment and a range of other government agencies. Ultimately the minister is responsible to the Parliament of New South Wales. Kevin Anderson (politician)
Kevin John Anderson is an Australian politician. Anderson is the New South Wales Minister for Lands and Water and the Minister for Hospitality and Racing in the Perrottet ministry since December 2021. Anderson is also a member of the New South Wales Legislative Assembly representing Tamworth for the Nationals since 26 March 2011. Anderson had previously served as the Minister for Better Regulation and Innovation in the second Berejiklian and Perrottet ministries between April 2019 and December 2021. Early years and background Anderson moved to Tamworth, aged 30 years. He spent eleven years as a journalist and news reader with the local Prime Television station. He left Prime in 2004 to work with Hunter New England Area Health Service as a communications and business development manager. The Second Perrottet ministry or Second Perrottet–Toole ministry is the 99th ministry of the Government of New South Wales, and is led by Dominic Perrottet, the state's 46th Premier. The Liberal–National coalition ministry was formed on 21 December 2021 from a reshuffle, the first time since Perrottet and Paul Toole were elected as Liberal Party leader and National Party leader respectively in October 2021. The Parliament of New South Wales considers the reshuffled ministry to be a separate and new ministry from the previous Perrottet ministry before the reshuffle. The First Perrottet ministry or First Perrottet–Toole ministry is the 98th ministry of the Government of New South Wales, and is led by Dominic Perrottet, the state's 46th Premier. The Liberal–National coalition ministry was formed following the resignation of the previous Premier, Gladys Berejiklian and the election of Perrottet as leader of the Liberal Party on 5 October 2021. Stuart Ayres was elected as deputy party leader. Separate to the Liberal Party leadership election, the National Party also had its own leadership election on 6 October 2021, following the resignation of John Barilaro as party leader, who said it was "the right time for me to hand the reins over". The Second Berejiklian ministry was the 97th ministry of the Government of New South Wales, and was led by Gladys Berejiklian, the state's 45th Premier. It was the second and subsequent of two occasions that Berejiklian served as Premier. The Liberal–National coalition ministry was formed following the 2019 state election where the Berejikilian government was re-elected. The New South Wales Minister for Homes is a minister in the New South Wales Government with responsibility for the administration and development of social housing and housing policy in New South Wales, Australia. It was first established in 1919 as the Minister for Housing in the Nationalist ministry of William Holman, with the principal responsibility being the provision of housing for the poor. The ministerial title has had several incarnations from 1919 to 1921, 1922–1925, 1941–2011, 2017–2019, and 2019–2021. Between 2019 and 2021, the portfolio was absorbed by the new portfolio of Water, Property and Housing; however it was re-established in 2021 with its current title. It is the second and subsequent of two occasions when Baird served as Premier.
