Minister For Housing (New South Wales)
The New South Wales Minister for Homes is a minister in the New South Wales Government with responsibility for the administration and development of social housing and housing policy in New South Wales, Australia. It was first established in 1919 as the Minister for Housing in the Nationalist ministry of William Holman, with the principal responsibility being the provision of housing for the poor. The ministerial title has had several incarnations from 1919 to 1921, 1922–1925, 1941–2011, 2017–2019, and 2019–2021. Between 2019 and 2021, the portfolio was absorbed by the new portfolio of Water, Property and Housing; however it was re-established in 2021 with its current title. Between 2015 and 2019, there was also a related Minister for Social Housing. The current Minister for Homes is Anthony Roberts, since December 2021. Anthony Roberts
Anthony John Roberts (born 19 April 1970) is an Australian politician. He is the New South Wales Minister for Planning and the Minister for Homes in the Perrottet ministry since December 2021. Roberts is a member of the New South Wales Legislative Assembly representing Lane Cove for the Liberal Party since 2003. The Treasurer of New South Wales, known from 1856 to 1959 as the Colonial Treasurer of New South Wales, is the minister in the Government of New South Wales responsible for government expenditure and revenue raising and is the head of the New South Wales Treasury. McGirr Ministry (1947)
The McGirr ministry (1947) or First McGirr ministry was the 52nd ministry of the New South Wales Government, and was led by the 28th Premier, Jim McGirr, of the Labor Party. The ministry was the first of three occasions when the Government was led by McGirr, as Premier. McGirr was first elected to the New South Wales Legislative Assembly in 1922 and served continuously until 1952, holding the various seats of Cootamundra, Cumberland, Bankstown, and Liverpool. McGirr was a staunch supporter of Jack Lang and served in the third Lang ministry, he was the only Langite to be appointed to William McKell's first ministry, retaining his portfolio in the second McKell ministry. Storey Ministry
The Storey ministry was the 37th ministry of the New South Wales Government, and was led by the 20th Premier, John Storey. Storey was elected to the New South Wales Legislative Assembly in 1901, serving until his death while Premier in 1921, with a break between 1904 and 1907 following the abolition of his seat. In November 1916 Labor split over conscription, when Premier William Holman, and twenty of his supporters were expelled from the party for defying party policy and supporting conscription. Holman and his supporters joined a grand coalition with the members of the various conservative parties, which by 1917, this had coalesced into the Nationalist Party of Australia. Storey was elected leader of the Labor party in 1917 and helped to reduce the scale of Labor's defeat in the 1917 election. The Second Perrottet ministry or Second Perrottet–Toole ministry is the 99th ministry of the Government of New South Wales, and is led by Dominic Perrottet, the state's 46th Premier. The Liberal–National coalition ministry was formed on 21 December 2021 from a reshuffle, the first time since Perrottet and Paul Toole were elected as Liberal Party leader and National Party leader respectively in October 2021. O'Farrell Ministry
The O'Farrell ministry was the 93rd ministry of the Government of New South Wales, and was led by Barry O'Farrell, the state's 43rd Premier. The Liberal–National coalition ministry was formed following the defeat of the Keneally-led Labor government at the 2011 election. It was the first coalition ministry since the Greiner- Fahey-led coalition ministries of the late 1980s and early 1990s. The Minister for Local Government is a minister in the New South Wales Government and has responsibilities which includes all local government areas and related legislation in New South Wales, the most primary of which is the ''Local Government Act 1993''.
