Miguel Costa Matos
Miguel de Oliveira Pires da Costa Matos (born May 29, 1994) is a Portuguese politician. He served as Secretary General of Socialist Youth (Portugal), Socialist Youth. He became a member of the Assembly of the Republic (Portugal), Portuguese Parliament for the Socialist Party (Portugal), Socialist Party in 2019. At 26, he was the youngest to become a member of Parliament. Early life He earned a degree in philosophy, politics and economics from the University of Warwick and a Master's degree in economics from NOVA University Lisbon. At Warwick, he was elected twice as Undergraduate Student Representative for the Faculty of Social Sciences. Parede
Parede () is a former civil parish in the municipality of Cascais, Portugal. In 2013, the parish merged into the new parish Carcavelos e Parede. In 2001 its resident population was approximately 17,830 inhabitants, covering an area of 3.6 km², west of Lisbon on the coast near the mouth of the Tagus estuary. Carcavelos
Carcavelos () was, until 2013, a Freguesia (Portugal), civil parish in the Portugal, Portuguese Concelho, municipality of Cascais, about west of Lisbon. In 2013, the parish merged into the new parish Carcavelos e Parede. The parish was known for the Carcavelos wine. With the decline of the winemaking industry in the region, the attractiveness of its beaches have made the parish a destination for surfing, due to the waves here. 2009 Portuguese Legislative Election
The 2009 Portuguese legislative election was held on 27 September, to renew all 230 members of the Assembly of the Republic. The Socialist Party, led by incumbent Prime Minister José Sócrates, won the largest number of seats, but didn't repeat the overall majority they gained in 2005. The Socialist Party of Prime Minister José Sócrates came in first despite losing 9% of the vote and 24 seats.
