"Midnight (The Night I Count the Stars)" ( Japanese: ''Hoshi wo Kazoeru Yoru''; Korean: ''Byeol Heneun Bam'') is a song released by the South Korean boy band Beast. It was released digitally in South Korea on July 15, 2012 as a pre-release single of the group's fifth mini album '' Midnight Sun'', released a week after. The song was later re-recorded in Japanese and was used as the group's third Japanese single, released on October 17, 2012. Highlight (Korean: ) is a South Korean boy band formerly known as Beast (Korean: 비스트). The band consists of four members: Yoon Doo-joon, Yang Yo-seob, Lee Gi-kwang, and Son Dong-woon. Originally a six-piece band, Jang Hyun-seung departed from the group in April 2016, and Yong Jun-hyung departed in March 2019. In late 2016, the group moved labels from Cube Entertainment to Around Us Entertainment and subsequently changed their name to Highlight in 2017. "Shock" is a song by the South Korean boy group Beast. It's the first single from their second EP "''Shock of the New Era''" which was released on March 1, 2010 along with the EP. The song introduced a new genre called Rocktronic, which is a combination of rock and electronic music. A Japanese version was released on March 16, 2011 which serves as their debut single in Japan. It ranked #2 in the Oricon daily and weekly chart with 28,532 copies sold in the first week, beating the debut single of Big Bang's "My Heaven" at no. 3 in 2009. His name Yoseob was the Hanja version of the name Joseph, which was later sinicized by the decision of his grand father. Son Dong-woon (; born June 6, 1991), known mononymously as Dongwoon, is a South Korean singer. He is a member of the boy group Highlight (formerly known as Beast). Biography Son Dong-woon was born in Busan, South Korea, on June 6, 1991. His father, Son Il-rak, is a professor at Cheongju University. Dong Woon stated in an interview and in the KBS show ''Win Win'' that he studied in Santa Rosa, Laguna, Philippines. Yoon Doo-joon (born July 4, 1989), better known mononymously as Doojoon, is a South Korean singer and actor. He is the leader of the South Korean boy group Highlight. Early life Yoon Doo-joon was born in Goyang, South Korea on July 4, 1989. His dream of becoming a high school Physical Education teacher changed suddenly during his second year of high school after watching MTV's ''Big Bang Documentary''. His parents and teachers didn't agree with him at first, though he pleaded with them to register him for music school and he soon started auditioning to become a singer.
