"Midnight (The Night I Count the Stars)" ( Japanese: ''Hoshi wo Kazoeru Yoru''; Korean: ''Byeol Heneun Bam'') is a song released by the South Korean boy band Beast. It was released digitally in South Korea on July 15, 2012 as a pre-release single of the group's fifth mini album '' Midnight Sun'', released a week after. The song was later re-recorded in Japanese and was used as the group's third Japanese single, released on October 17, 2012. Background On July 12, Cube Entertainment announced that the song would be released on July 15 as a pre-release single from the upcoming mini album '' Midnight Sun''. On July 15, "Midnight" was released digitally on South Korea music portal sites. On the same day, a theme music video of the song was also released. Highlight (Korean: ) is a South Korean boy band formerly known as Beast (Korean: 비스트). The band consists of four members: Yoon Doo-joon, Yang Yo-seob, Lee Gi-kwang, and Son Dong-woon. Originally a six-piece band, Jang Hyun-seung departed from the group in April 2016, and Yong Jun-hyung departed in March 2019. Shock (Beast Song)
"Shock" is a song by the South Korean boy group Beast. It's the first single from their second EP "''Shock of the New Era''" which was released on March 1, 2010 along with the EP. The song introduced a new genre called Rocktronic, which is a combination of rock and electronic music. A Japanese version was released on March 16, 2011 which serves as their debut single in Japan. It ranked #2 in the Oricon daily and weekly chart with 28,532 copies sold in the first week, beating the debut single of Big Bang's "My Heaven" at no. 3 in 2009. Jang Hyun-seung (; born September 3, 1989) most often credited as Hyunseung, is a South Korean singer. He is best known as a former member of the boy group Beast. Yang Yo-seob (born January 5, 1990), more commonly known as Yoseob, is a South Korean singer and musical actor. He is the main vocalist of the boy group Highlight. Biography Yang was born in Seoul, South Korea on January 5, 1990, in a small family with one older sister, Yang Hae-yeon. His name Yoseob was the Hanja version of the name Joseph, which was later sinicized by the decision of his grand father. Son Dong-woon (; born June 6, 1991), known mononymously as Dongwoon, is a South Korean singer. He is a member of the boy group Highlight (formerly known as Beast). Yoon Doo-joon (born July 4, 1989), better known mononymously as Doojoon, is a South Korean singer and actor. He is the leader of the South Korean boy group Highlight.
