The Midea China Classic is a professional golf tournament held in China. It was first played in 2007 at the Royal Orchid International Golf Club in Guangzhou. Guangzhou

The OneAsia Tour was a men's professional golf tour based in the Asia-Pacific region. The tour was founded in 2009 as a joint venture between the PGA Tour of Australasia, the China Golf Association, the Korean Golf Association and the Korean PGA. The Japan Golf Tour was invited to participate in the project in 2012 and has co-sanctioned the Indonesia Open, Indonesia PGA Championship and Thailand Open. OneAsia was seen as a rival to the longer established Asian Tour, with which it had poor relations. From 2010 to 2017, the OneAsia Tour had world ranking status in its own right. Having had a ten tournament schedule in each of its first few seasons, OneAsia's fortunes began to decline. Being reliant on co-sanctioning arrangements to fill out the calendar – only one event was not co-sanctioned in 2013 and 2014 – tour members were afforded a limited number of places in the tournaments. Terry Pilkadaris
Terry Peter Pilkadaris (born 30 October 1973) is an Australian professional golfer. Pilkadaris was born in Perth, Western Australia. He turned professional in 1998, joining the PGA Tour of Australasia. Since 2002 he has played on the Asian Tour, where he has won three tournaments. He was fifth on the Asian Tour Order of Merit in both 2004 and 2005. He has also played on the European Tour since 2005. Noh Seung-yul
Noh Seung-yul ( ko, 노승열; born 29 May 1991), or Seung-yul Noh is a South Korean professional golfer. Professional career Noh turned professional in 2007 and successfully negotiated qualifying school for the 2008 Asian Tour. He won the Midea China Classic that season, and was named Asian Tour rookie of the year. In 2010 he won the Maybank Malaysian Open which was co-sanctioned with the European Tour. The win made him the second youngest winner () ever on the European Tour after Danny Lee (). He finished 2010 as the leader of the Asian Tour money list, and ranked 34th on the European Tour Order of Merit. Zhang Lianwei
Zhang Lianwei (; born 2 May 1965) is a Chinese professional golfer. Zhang was the first golfer from the People's Republic of China to achieve substantial success on the international professional circuit. In January 2003 he became the first Chinese golfer to win on the European Tour, and the following year was the first to compete in the Masters Tournament, one of the four major championships. Career Zhang was born in Zhuhai in Guangdong Province. The People's Republic of China's first golf course opened in 1984, and Zhang took up the game soon afterwards. He worked as a caddie and won the China Amateur Open Championship three times before turning professional in 1994. Early in his career, Zhang won a number of smaller tournaments around Asia, in China, Malaysia and Thailand. Liang Wenchong
Liang Wenchong (, born 2 August 1978) is a Chinese professional golfer. He was the highest ranked golfer from the People's Republic of China and the first Chinese golfer to have reached the top 100 of the Official World Golf Ranking. He succeeded his mentor Zhang Lianwei as the top Chinese player. Professional career Liang has played on the Asian Tour, Japan Golf Tour and OneAsia Tour. He finished 21st on the 2006 Japan Golf Tour money list, after finishing second at the Fujisankei Classic. In 2008 he was second at the Japan PGA Championship. Kim Felton
Kim Felton (born 27 March 1975) is an Australian professional golfer. As an amateur, Felton won the Australian Amateur in 1997 and was the low individual in the 1998 Eisenhower Trophy. Felton turned professional in 1999 and played mainly on the PGA Tour of Australasia and its developmental Tour, the Von Nida Tour. He won five events on the Von Nida Tour as well as three other Australian events. Felton also played on the Nationwide Tour from 2005 to 2008 where he won the 2005 Knoxville Open.
