Michigan's 110th House of Representatives district (also referred to as Michigan's 110th House district) is a legislative district within the Michigan House of Representatives located in part of Dickinson County, as well as all of Gogebic, Houghton, Iron, Keweenaw, and Ontonagon counties. Bessemer, Michigan
Bessemer is a city in the U.S. state of Michigan. As of the 2020 census, the city population was 1,805. It is the county seat of Gogebic County. The city is surrounded by Bessemer Township, but the two are administered autonomously. It is on U.S. Route 2 with Ironwood to the west and Wakefield to the east. The Big Powderhorn, Blackjack, and Indianhead ski areas are located within a few miles of Bessemer. Cross-country skiing and snowmobiling are also very popular in this area, due to lake-effect snow influenced by nearby Lake Superior; the area is often referred to as "Big Snow Country." Recreational opportunities in the summer months include Bluff Valley Park, the scenic Black River Falls, and access to the Iron Belle Trail. Calumet, Michigan
Calumet ( or ) is a village in Calumet Township, Houghton County, in the U.S. state of Michigan's Upper Peninsula, that was once at the center of the mining industry of the Upper Peninsula. Also known as Red Jacket, the village includes the Calumet Downtown Historic District, listed on the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP). The village may itself be included within the Calumet Historic District, a larger area which is NRHP-listed and which is a National Historic Landmark District. It is bordered on the north by Calumet Township, on the south by the unincorporated towns of Newtown and Blue Jacket, on the east by Blue Jacket and Calumet Township, and on the west by Yellow Jacket and Calumet Township. Michael Lahti (born 1945) is a politician from the State of Michigan. A Democrat, Lahti served in the Michigan House of Representatives representing the 110th District, which is located in the Upper Peninsula and includes all of Iron County, Gogebic County, Ontonagon County, Baraga County, Houghton County, Keweenaw County and Powell Township in Marquette County. Biography Lahti was born in Hancock, Michigan on October 10, 1945 and graduated from Hancock High School. He graduated from Northern Michigan University in 1967. Rich Brown (Richard J. Brown, born April 9, 1956) is the assistant clerk, former clerk, and former Democratic member of the Michigan House of Representatives.
