Michel Ducros
Michel Ducros (born 1949) is a French entrepreneur at the head of the French delicatessen company Fauchon, and yacht services company Monaco Marine. He is the former chairman and CEO of Ducros, a family business based on spices and mixed herbs, and still invest in several international companies. Early life Born in 1949 in Kehl, southwest Germany, from a father officer in the French army and a mother teacher, Michel Ducros was raised in Buis-les-Baronnies, a village in the Drome region of the southeast of France, where his grandfather harvested lime-tree leaves and lavender, used in herbalism. In 1963 his father Gilbert Ducros, and his uncle Marc Ducros, founded the eponymous family business that sold spices and mixed aromatic herbs. Fauchon is a French gourmet food and delicatessen company that was founded in 1886 in Paris, France. Fauchon is considered a major reference in contemporary French gourmet foods, and it had 81 outlets in operation around the world as of 2019. History Origins from 1886 until 1952 The founder of the Fauchon brand, Auguste Fauchon, was born in Ellon, Calvados in 1856. He moved to Paris in 1880, where he began to work as a street vendor, moving on to become a wine and spirits merchant. In 1886, at the age of 30, he opened a fine foods outlet on Place de la Madeleine in the 8th arrondissement of Paris. The quality of the products made by Fauchon and its numerous approved suppliers quickly made it well-known internationally, and it came to symbolise French-style luxury. In 1968, French radicals chose to raid Fauchon and distribute foie gras to the poor. During the Second World War, restrictions and rationing made business difficult for the company. Kehl
Kehl (; gsw, label= Low Alemannic German, Low Alemannic, Kaal) is a town in southwestern Germany in the Ortenaukreis, Baden-Württemberg. It is on the river Rhine, directly opposite the French city of Strasbourg, with which it shares some municipal servicesfor example the Strasbourg tramway, which now reaches Kehl. La Ciotat (; oc, label= Provençal Occitan, La Ciutat ; in Mistralian spelling ''La Ciéutat''; 'the City') is a commune in the Bouches-du-Rhône department in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region in Southern France.
