Michael Stensgaard
Michael Stensgaard (born 1 September 1974) is a Danish former professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper. He represented Danish clubs Hvidovre IF and FC Copenhagen, as well as Liverpool and Southampton in the Premier League. He played eight games for the Denmark U21 national team. After ending his footballing career in 2001 due to injuries, he studied Cand.jur. with a degree in business conflict mediation. Career Stensgaard got his national breakthrough with Hvidovre IF, and was touted the successor of former Hvidovre and Danish international goalkeeper Peter Schmeichel. He made his Denmark national under-21 football team debut in October 1993. In May 1994, he was bought by English team Liverpool for a transfer fee of £400,000. He arrived at Liverpool to succeed Bruce Grobbelaar as understudy to David James, and was issued the number 13 shirt during his time at the club. David Benjamin James MBE (born 1 August 1970) is an English former professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper. His most recent position was manager at Kerala Blasters FC in the Indian Super League in 2018. He is also a pundit on Sky Sports football coverage. 1998–99 Danish Superliga
The 1998–99 Danish Superliga season was the 9th season of the Danish Superliga league championship, governed by the Danish Football Association. It took place from the first match on July 26, 1998, to final match on June 16, 1999. The Danish champions and runners-up qualified for their respective UEFA Champions League qualification stages, while the third placed team qualified for the qualification round of the 1999–2000 UEFA Cup. The fourth and fifth placed teams qualified for the UEFA Intertoto Cup 1999, while the two lowest placed teams of the tournament were directly relegated to the Danish 1st Division. Karim Zaza
Karim Zaza (, ar, كريم زازا; born 9 January 1975) is a Moroccan former professional footballer and current goalkeeper coach of Vendsyssel FF. Born in Denmark to a Moroccan father and Danish mother, he established himself as one of the top goalkeepers of Danish football with three consecutive Danish ''Goalkeeper of the Year'' awards from 2001 to 2003. He won the Danish Cup twice with F.C. Copenhagen, once with Odense Boldklub (OB) and a the Double with Brøndby IF, as well as another Danish championship with AaB in 2008. It is the highest football league in Denmark and is currently contested by 12 teams each year, with two teams relegated. Jørgen Tofte Nielsen (born 6 May 1971) is a Danish former professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper. Playing career Nielsen was born in Nykøbing Falster, Denmark. He signed for Liverpool in 1997 and was at Anfield for five years, but he left in 2002 having never playing a competitive game for the club. However, his shirt did taste Premier League action, against Everton on 27 September 1999. In the 77th minute of the game, goalkeeper Sander Westerveld and Everton striker Francis Jeffers got into a fight and both were sent off, but due to Liverpool having used all of their substitutions, left back Steve Staunton borrowed Nielsen's shirt and filled in as goalkeeper for the remainder of the match.
