Michael Neser
Michael Gertges Neser (born 29 March 1990) is an Australian professional cricketer. In domestic cricket, he represents Queensland, and the Brisbane Heat in the Big Bash League, as well as Glamorgan in the County Championship, Royal London One-Day Cup and T20 Blast. He made his international debut for Australia in June 2018. Early life Neser was born in Pretoria, South Africa, but moved to Queensland, Australia, with his family when he was 10 years old, settling on the Gold Coast. There he began playing junior cricket for the Broadbeach-Robina Cats and made his first grade debut for the Gold Coast Dolphins at 17 years of age in February 2008. He attended The Southport School throughout his teenage years where he competed in the GPS competition and was awarded back-to-back Paul Norris Trophies in 2006-07 as the school's First XI all-rounder of the year as well as the Westcott Family Trophy for First XI bowler of the year in 2007. The T20 Blast, currently named the Vitality Blast for sponsorship reasons, is a professional Twenty20 cricket competition for English and Welsh first-class counties. The competition was established by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) in 2003 as the first professional Twenty20 league in the world. The Prime Minister's XI or PM's XI (formerly Australian Prime Minister's Invitation XI) is an invitational cricket team picked by the Prime Minister of Australia for an annual match held at the Manuka Oval in Canberra against an overseas touring team. Twenty20
Twenty20 (T20) is a shortened game format of cricket. At the professional level, it was introduced by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) in 2003 for the inter-county competition. In a Twenty20 game, the two teams have a single innings each, which is restricted to a maximum of 20 overs. Together with first-class and List A cricket, Twenty20 is one of the three current forms of cricket recognised by the International Cricket Council (ICC) as being at the highest international or domestic level. A typical Twenty20 game is completed in about two and a half hours, with each innings lasting around 70 minutes and an official 10-minute break between the innings. 2011–12 Big Bash League Season
The 2011–12 Big Bash League season or BBL, 01 was the inaugural season of the Big Bash League, the premier Twenty20 cricket competition in Australia. The tournament replaced the KFC Twenty20 Big Bash, which ran each season from 2005–06 to 2010–11. The tournament was won by the Sydney Sixers, which defeated the Perth Scorchers in the final at the WACA Ground on 28 January 2012. Western Australia Cricket Team
The Western Australian Men’s cricket team, formerly nicknamed the Western Warriors, represent the Australian state of Western Australia in Australian domestic cricket. The team is selected and supported by the Western Australian Cricket Association (WACA), and plays its home games at the WACA Ground and Perth Stadium in Perth. The 2010–11 Sheffield Shield season was the 109th season of the Sheffield Shield, the first-class domestic cricket competition of Australia. The season began on 8 October 2010, and ended on 21 March 2011 at the Bellerive Oval, Hobart, with the Tasmanian Tigers winning their second shield. The Gold Coast District Cricket Club is a cricket club on the Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia who play in the Queensland Premier Cricket competition. The club was founded in 1990.
